From the image in post 49, my sticker had the same vertical strips of sticky tape on the outer ends. My tag was probably 4 inches wide. I think I had to use some adhesive remover to get all the āstickyā off the glass. (This was a year and a half ago). Perhaps you can see evidence of that...
Mine was on the back window (inside), driverās side, kinda hidden behind the headrest. It was hard to see from outside the truck due to the tint. My truck had over 30 miles on it but was accounted for via the Q/C testing.
You are very much correct about the effect of snow tires. In my post above, Iām describing an over 30% drop in MPG for me. A good 10% of that is snow tires. They are VERY soft and sticky, and therefore have a higher rolling resistance.
Lots of good information has been presented already for lower MPG in winter. I concur, and it is NOT a Maverick problem, a hybrid, problem, or a Ford problem. Gas automobile engines suffer from lower MPG in cold winter temps. Engines are designed to run most efficiently at operating...
Looks like the windshield is already cracked. But at least they fixed the large gaping underbody cavity behind the captainās (driverās) side rear wheel well. I also prefer the 1st gen front end with larger headlights and less painted trim.
There are some creative alternative ways to break a bead (without a tire machine). Check youtube for some solutions and use your judgement if it looks safe. Iāve seen people drive onto 2x4 boards or use a vehicle jack to pop one. Just make sure the valve stem is 180 degrees away from the...
I completely agree and wished tire info was readily available. I like info/data in general. The more the better. We have the info, and itās super critical, so why not let us see it more easily?
Having said that, I think gauges as a whole have been removed from vehicles due to society getting...
I would suggest re-evaluating when itās a bit warmer. Everything seems to ride more harshly (for me) when itās below 0F. More creeks and groans too. Itās -25F withOUT windchill where I happen to be this morning and am well-versed in butt arse coldā¦.
The headlight might be feasable to get most or all sanded/buffed out without having to replace the light.
The rock chip will be one of many more to come. Get it touched up with something. A basic touch up would just involve dabbing paint on top the damage, but someone could also spend more...
I would probably start with your financial institution, informing them of the situation and never got possession of the vehicle. See where that conversation goes. While just speculation, they might consider things to help you out, maybe pausing payments etcā¦.
Your interest rate is the best...
Try a simple one-word search if you havenāt already. See if that does any better. I havenāt seen the issue myself, though I admit I typically only enter one keyword, as recently as yesterday.
I think we are agreeing. I will never be putting chain/strap hooks on the front of my hybridās factory recovery holes, nor did I ever plan to, as I donāt like the design. Hooks can also turn into missiles when they slip or break. The unibody āholeā could deform/rip or get a hook stuck in...
As much fun as that sounds, it wasnāt the point of my post :D
The ātow pointsā on the front of a hybrid are also not super easy to access, you canāt see your equipment hooked up to them because of where they are, and I also wonder if anyone has found a recovery hook yet that even fits nicely...
I agree, though I would also add that the hybrid undercarriage is quite fragile (Iāve had all the shields off). I would never take ours off road, as I have a much better vehicle for that. Just recently someone posted a photo on this forum of a hybrid that had itās coolant lines yanked...
This brings the question (at least to MY mind), if any version (2025+) of a HYBRID Mav even comes with proper front tow hooks yet. The original FWD Mavās did not have front tow hooks at all, and instead just have the two sheetmetal holes as front tow point. Far less sturdy/convenient (IMHO)...
while I canāt speak for the loud bang the OP mentioned, the symptoms at around 4mph sound very much like the transition from regenerative braking to hydraulic braking. It can be noticeable, particularly when wet outside.
