Gas prices < Engine longevity, any day. I understand why people want to save in the front end, but I keep vehicles for the long run. After changing starters on various FWD based engines, I can tell you that it isn't fun, and having to change a flywheel is even less enjoyable.

The screen off button is nice. I’d like SYNC 3 from the same model year if that remedied the issue. Just give up on the CTR system and write it off as a failed attempt to save money on the Maverick.

Fair point on people not knowing. Today’s manuals are quite easy to drive in comparison to those of old. The shifters are really smooth, and past first gear you barely need the clutch depressed.

I was going to quote how I love my Mazda shifter, but didn’t know if anyone else knew that feeling. My CX-5 feels great with the shifter! I can tell what position and gear it is in just by sound or shift position. I’ve on numerous occasions went from drive to neutral or park instead of reverse.
