that’s suspension geometry/scrub radius related, not the power’s fault

As someone else mentioned, it’s more than likely cutting or laying back the torque spike that the small turbo can provide to keep the transmission from shattering to bits, on top of regular automatic transmission delays when downshifting.

That’s definitely what I’ll be doing when I go to pick mine up. I wish I could hollow the thing out immediately but I’m sure it has sensors that would get really mad if I did that

That’s another thing I’m looking for, the response from the short sidewalls. I drove a 22 lariat at work the other day with 17” wheels and what looked like more off road tires and I wash shocked at how it took a highway on ramp but it certainly felt vague and wallowy

yeah it’s tough, anything bigger than like a 17 inch wheel that’s cast is just unfathomably heavy. As long as it doesn’t feel like it slowed the car down or cooks your brakes from a hard stop 😅 One of my cars came with huge super heavy cast wheels and literally one hard stop and I didn’t feel safe
