I did "chat" with Ford once, and the chat person told me not to contact Ford, and refer all questions to my dealer. I do have a nice and knowledgable guy at the dealer who replies to my emails with any build info... Just got my 9/5 day pushed to 10/17.... :(
Emailed my dealer today... My 9/5 week has been pushed to 10/17.. (Hybrid, Lariat, Lux VIN 96,xxx).. So if you just got your first October build date, mentally prepare yourself for a November build,.
I picked up a set of like new Bronco Sport 17" Rims for $300 from FB Marketplace. Also found a set of lightly used (2 year old) 225/65/17 snow tires for $100. I'll get them mounted with TPMS before the snow flies. Question is will I have a truck by then? (Build week 9/5, fingers still crossed)
Seems like people most without a build date are getting the delay email, and people with a build date are getting the "Ford Pass" email. A few also get the delay email with a build date, so...
Same build (Hybrid, Lariat, Lux, Moon), except color, so I was inspired.. Just called my dealer. I have a VIN too! October 28 order, September 5th build.
Battery in my Volt is 10 years old and today reads 39 miles range. Quoted range new was 38ā¦. I get as good as 45-ish miles around town in warm weather.
OP: You may find yourself in the predicament as many past 2022 buyers (perspective buyers) have been. They put deposits on trucks that the dealer hoped to get allocated. Nearly 100% sold have been on-line pre-orders. There is no reason at all to put a deposit down on a truck that can not be...
Neighbor taught me a trick that works with Christmas/patio lights and squirrels... Before they put up the lights they spray the open box with Raid. and let it dry. The result is it still tastes is awful and they wont chew them up. Not sure if that's an engine solution for those who may have...
Not sure how it factors in, but mid May production is showing VINs in the 70,000 range being assigned. After 6+ months of production. Could this indicate another 60k or so and a total of 130,000-ish Mavericks for MY22? Just guessing.
I down shifted in cars for 30yrs, so when we got our Chevy Volt āLā gave that engine brake feel. Iāll probably go with Eco to get the best regen and one pedal feel when our Mav gets here.
This is one of the nicest you can get under 2,000 pounds from Rove Lite. https://travelliterv.com/rvs/2021-rove-lite-travel-trailers/ It has an aluminum frame, but keep in mind almost any non-popup trailer will probably exceed the "recommended" frontal area Ford states for the Hybrid model (20...
In science class in grade school we would make static electricity when plastic was rubbed against natural fiber... Like a balloon on hair, plastic rod on wool, cotton socks on carpet, etc... Dry air helps clothing hold a static charge.
I am not sure what the seats in the XL/XLT are made of...
Isnāt that the opposite of āinnovation?ā Going back to the way things were?
I have not had a dial shift but Iām looking forward to it. It looks low and out of the way. Which is nice, since my dog has happily knocked my traditional shifter out of gear in my current vehicle.
Neighbors son washed their VW with a small rock in the 'wash mitt'.. That ended poorly.
The pictures don't look like it was from the bristles. More like it was rubbed with the wooden part of the brush.. Paint vs Wood... Wood wins....
Oh wow⦠I have had about 40 cars. The closest to it was an 80ās S10 extra cab. When the sad 2.8L engine died (again) I bought a 1999 VW new Beetle. Great car.
I got hooked on reliable solid mpg until I bought a Chevy Volt and itās AMAZING!. I still have the Volt and itās the reason we look...
This is encouraging data. Thank you.
Thinking the "oldest" hybrid truck orders are currently 6 1/2 months old, and they didn't even start deliveries until December, that's pretty good news. Hoping they continue the progress.
I know some people are upset they don't have a truck yet, but they...
