Called again today. My dealer says the internet is wrong and he can't do anything with my 22 order until Ford tells him to. He said currentIy I still have a 2022 VIN being built in December. (I know I do, it's impossible and that's what needs to change).
He also says this is normal and has...
I wonder about that speed limit too...
Here is a unique situation... In Boise, on the way to the ski resort (Bogus Basin) we drive across a cattle grate... There is a local legend about a good luck troll that lives there. Not sure how it started, but for decades skiers quickly open and close...
I have a feeling all these new 2023 trucks are getting their first of many emails from Ford delaying production. "Big things are happening right now. Your 2023 Ford Maverick Super Crew has been scheduled for production. We will now begin the process of delaying your order over and over., while...
When I placed my order on-line a year ago, the dealership contacted me to get my information. He said āyou will be lucky if itās here by summer, but I wouldnāt be surprised if it gets pushed to 2023.ā
Ford moved our MY22 for Nov 21 to a MY23 Dec 19 yesterday.
So far heās been the most...
Lariat Lux Hybrid with Sunroof... I must confess, I just double checked... I forgot about the delivery fee... So $3500 diff... But some items aren't included in new packages.. Added to my post... Thx!
Since my order was 11/21 and now cancelled and unknown... i am in limbo...
UPDATE: Now moved to 12/19. Email last night... Still not official build date, just means pushed to 2023 model year.
Nov 21 build. Called Ford⦠Now we are someday somehow MY2023. As are 6,900 other hybrid orders.
Our original build is now over $5000 more. This āaffordableā truck is starting to sound like Elon vapor ware.
EDIT CORRECTION: $3500 and some items that are missing in new packages... I forgot...
With only 30,000 or so RAV4 Prime (plug in) built and a wait longer than a Maverick for twice the price⦠Donāt expect a better hybrid compact pickup from Toyota until Janubuary 33rd 202C
I read a story about a journalist who tested this theory about sitting in an EV. It will ārunā for days, even in winter with heat. Much longer and safer than a gas vehicle. People w gas vehicles also have to clear their tail pipe in snow to avoid carbon monoxide.
A gas vehicle will idle out...
There is an odd mindset against traditional auto manufacturers... Model year is so concrete.. What's fascinating are the people waiting for Rivians, Lucids, etc. It's just when their turn comes up. People are expecting to wait moths or years and the model year of the vehicle is arbitrary...
Ford should reach out to those December Hybrid orders and ask if they want a MY23. Could free up some space for those that really want their 2022.
I just got the 10/31 to 11/21 letter. Still hoping for a 22, but if it does get bumped to 23, Iāll roll with it.
I told my dealer I was hoping to...
Got the 10/24 to 10/31 bump too... It will be over one year, but what's another week? I am still looking forward to having it and another week wont make a difference in my life.
It's baffling hearing how miserable people are making themselves while waiting to spend $20,000-$30,000 on a...
The only "overstock" I can imagine would be the 10's of thousands of nearly finished F150-250 trucks parked and waiting for a final computer chip(s). It will get harder to sell 2022 models in 2023 as production returns to 'normal' (hopefully) in the next year.
Ford has a great line up right...
Sounds like they will build some for dealer lots as well... Probably EcoBoost with non-constraint features. No sense Idling the factory while waiting for parts if they can keep building trucks with less options.
They have made adjustments to the rebate on PHEV vehicles based on range... Some get 16-20 mile range and a much smaller rebate than one with 40+ mile range... It will also be subject to origin of battery materials... And it will change over the life of the program... So you will just have to...
After reading this whole thread I am happy with my price protected 22... A reorder would have been $4500 more, so $1800 out of pocket after "private offer." AND that wouldn't include Cyber Orange which doesn't appear to be available...
Now I hope everything goes as planned and the truck (VIN...
