I watched the entire video. Ford got the recall notice in September. They continued to build defective vehicles for almost 2 months. Why build almost 30k vehicles that you already know need repairs? They took TWO whole days between model years. Disappointing.
Why didn't Ford take some time between the model years and work on improving quality instead of trying to fix them after there already assembled? According to the video 2024 Maverick production ended on Friday November 8th and 2025 production began on November 11th. I'm having second doubts...
Is Ford holding these vehicles at the assembly plant? If they find a problem then what? Assembly plants aren't the place to fix a major issue. A six week hold would be over 15,000 vehicles. As a retired autoworker I've never seen a repair area in an assembly plant that was big enough to handle...
Why can't someone at Ford clarify the "supposedly 6 week hold" rumor and give customers an idea on ETA at dealerships? Too much conflicting information. Not buying the info from Ford chat.
Others on this site are being told the ETA on their Maverick is mid December. Yet, I haven't heard of a single truck being shipped. I'm beginning to doubt the info from Ford Chat.
I realize it's just an estimate. It's also hard to believe that Ford is going to hold some 20,000 vehicles for 6 six weeks when there was very little change from the '24 Maverick.
