Hello and welcome to MTC. Congratulations on your new Maverick. Thanks for joining, posting and adding a picture. Great looking truck, but I admit I am partial to Maverick's. Best of luck with your new truck.
Not technical enough but gives the model etc and the difference around the 5.30 minute
This is concerning the GPF. Keep in mind this or both videos are 2 months old or more. Anyway hope this helps.
Since you are comparing the Ford Maverick hybrid to the jeep you previously owned you should also have included the Ford pass points just for buying a Ford.
A few more items should be considered though the extra cost on oil and brakes needed on the hybrid over a non hybrid model as well.
There are a lot of u-tube videos out there to watch and hopefully answer your question, do a u-tube search. Also try searching this site as well, I remember reading several off road adventures with Maverick Tremor.
Below are just a few of many.
On trails in Colorado I would check with...
Hello and welcome to MTC. Congratulations on your new Maverick. I don't have the hybrid but I agree with Dave O
Besides that is and was the selling point of the Ford hybrid being able to use or utilize 87 octane.
Hope you keep enjoying your new truck.
First where is there any credited documentation saying the turbos need replaced like a maintenance item such as batteries. There is a huge difference not saying anything can break but a battery is a maintenance item , it will need to be replaced. Huge difference no comparison IMO.
Batteries are...
You can't compare apples to oranges. If you are not comparing the same vehicle except hybrid vs gas, it's not a comparison at all.
If you are going from a jeep to a Maverick you can also compute a non hybrid Maverick to it as well. The post was if the hybrid would pay for itself not if it would...
Also they do not get close to the posted mileage in cold weather. Of course the ecoboost loses some as well and going to winter fuel. From what I have read the hybrid takes a hit in cold weather more than the ecoboost.
The OP also did not calculate the initial cost for the hybrid but also had...
Best to use the correct numbers on the AWD ecoboost to AWD hybrid combined it's 25 vs 37. Even then if someone like myself is mostly 2 lane highway it's 29 vs 32 for the difference. I guess if you want to pull numbers out of thin air to make your point, I guess it doesn't matter
At 25 mpg...
If it's 36 months old it's less than 67 a month to drive if longer it's less than 67. That's pretty cheap to drive a new vehicle with warranty and usually no maintenance except oil change. It's not a good deal but a great deal.
I think you did a pretty decent comparison for your needs or wants. What you don't emphasize is what is upgraded the different or beefed up eCVT. Also by getting the AWD and 4k tow having a trans cooler and upgraded cooling fan. You did mention backup assist and trailer hitch assist but forgot...
