Point of interest- I ordered a 2023 ranger believing it was the new body style. Same dealer. Once it was determined the Ranger Tremor I ordered was the 10 year old body style I did not except delivery. Dealer sold it the next day. In my mind the Maverick is a far superior vehicle to the old...
Appreciate your point of view. Considering my options I believe this is the best course of action for myself. Until this whole situation becomes normalized there are limited options. This works for me. thx
Hello Maverites- So this is a true story about my experience with my local dealer this week. I am a lucky one who received a Maverick from my original order two years ago, which I purchased at sticker price. Very lucky and fortunate to receive this vehicle, and I love it. However, I live in...
Hey fellow Maverites- Happy Holidays and thanks to everyone for all the great information. I just installed the Yakima overhaul racks on my 2022 CG FX4 Maverick. They fit very well and feel solid. For fun, I added some carbon fiber stripes to the lower rocker panels and changed out the tires to...
I have a 22 eco-boost FX four XLT. I went by the Ford dealer here in San Diego this weekend they had four Mavericks on the lot. Each one of them was purchased from another dealer so they would have stock. They averaged from nine to $14,000 above sticker and two of them were above $50,000. I can...
I have to agree with the poor paint quality. I love my Maverick, but chips have been happening wo any apparent cause. Between the thin paint and the scratch-prone plastics, I find myself babying this truck far more than any truck I've owned. Maybe that's not a bad thing, though...
Well said. I have found my AWD Eco boost to get impressive mpg in highway driving, as you stated above (30 mpg++), but my around-town mileage is far below the stated mileage. I am honestly lucky to get 20 mpg around town (and I am a light-footed driver (mostly ;)).
Everything else you state is...
For what it's worth, I was hoping to order a new Maverick Tremor package. I live in Baja and use 4WD daily. I was first in line for my dealer and already took delivery of a 22 Mav FX4 last year. During the roller coaster of the order process, I was told we could order a Tremor, but my odds of...
Noticed my first chips at about 1,000 miles-seeeminghly appeared from nowhere. Certainly no contact with other items. The paint on Mav's is about as thin as any vehicle I've owned. Still love it and I figure what do you want for sub $30K??
Agreed. The interior plastics are just awful for endurance. The slightest scrape results in deep grooves to the plastic. Still love my MAV but it will be interesting to see what the future holds.
All I can say is that I have the first model year 2022 Maverick AWD FX4 and I have had exactly 0 problems and enjoy the truck immensely. It honestly drives like a sports car and handles the sand and beaches of Baja perfectly for me. For me I would take whatever comes first as I doubt highly...
I have an AWD FX4 XLT. Eco 2.0. I went from the Pirelli Scorpions @ 225 to Yokohama Geolander 265/65/17 and huge improvement off road. No mods and no rub. Great tires highly recommend -cheers!
Hola- I live in Mexico and installed a set of Geolanders 245/65/17 with no mods and I'm happy to say they run great. No rubbing or pinching at all and a total game changer on the sand. Geolanders are awesome tires and not regularly seen in the USA markets. Love your mods- they look great!
