And if the drivetrain that's in your maverick was moved to a sedan, the MPG would likely be even better.
Its a question of opportunity costs. Is the Hybrid Maverick better than what you had? Sure. It's also got twice the MPG as my previous vehicle. Is it better than a theoretical, more modern...
Putting car seats in the Maverick is pretty awful. After struggling to get mine in, another family member asked to borrow it. Immediately went to Walmart and just bought another one rather than pull mine.
Did this Nitrogen tire fad start before or after they started putting helium in hard drives? Because that's what this reminds me of (Though helium hard drives actually do work and the helium is super important).
What Sports mode does is pretty much leave the engine on under almost all driving circumstances. It'll still switch off going down hill or stopped, but if you push on the gas, the engine will go (Or at least that's what my Sports mode is doing). Its fun if you want to make noise, but I really...
I don't see why it would. The transmission seems smart enough to 'loosen up' when you apply lots of gas in L.
I engage L when hill assist needs to be more aggressive and it helps some. Don't think it'll help much having it on all the time, but I guess that depends on your driving circumstances.
The app maybe. I use the website. All I've told it is the vehicle I'm driving, when I gas up, how much I gas up, the 'brand' I gas up with, price, and how I paid ("Credit," not actual numbers). All that information is optional. You can just drop numbers in if you like.
You have two mileage counters, Trip 1 and Trip 2. They are independent. Let one run forever to track longterm mpg and reset the other one at every fill-up.
If you really want to track mileage though, use fuelly. The mpg estimates the Maverick (And most vehicles, really) generates are garbage...
U.S. Imports of Crude Oil (Thousand Barrels) (eia.gov)
Well, that was easy.
EDIT: What I suspect you saw, or some news article told you, is that for a handful of months the US exported a thousand or so more barrels of petroleum products than it imported. This is true. And if we sprouted a...
I understand and agree with the core sentiment of the article, as poorly as it may have been conveyed. If your goal is responsible energy and resource usage on a national and global scale, than yes, putting everyone in trucks, even hybrid ones, is bad. The majority of people getting trucks...
I used 14 gauge, and it certainly feels solid. I can't image it not being able to handle 1000 pounds a piece.
I think no matter what, the weakest point will be the washers holding the channel onto the truck.
