They've been having a buttload of administrative issues to, and last I heard have been banned from the market in at least one state.
Turns out when your business model is to cut every conceivable corner certain things suffer.
The sunglass holder is pretty much the worst problem I've had with my Maverick. If I put small sunglasses in they rotate and jam up the locking mechanism, and now as the temperature goes up the locking mechanism itself has fallen out.
I figure if thats the worst issue though I'm doing good.
Rodents have been known to chew wires long before they started using soy as a product. I wonder if there's any stats backing up that this change actually increased the amount of electrical wire attacks.
If youtube dashcam compilations have taught me anything, its that 99% of the time vehicles collisions are a "It takes 2 to tango" situation. Usually one person screwing up, and another not paying enough attention (Or alternatively, those weirdos who'd rather get into an accident than take any...
There's been multiple leaks that the next electric truck from Ford will be the Ranger. It also makes a lot of sense - Ford apparently promised Europe it would be all electric in that market relatively quickly, and Ford sells a buttload of Rangers in Europe.
EDIT: Also, in the US, Ford is...
They can't be bothered to actually read the review, understand the scale, or consider why someone who probably drives 20+ vehicles a year might have a slightly different perspective than people who buy maybe a vehicle every 10 years, ride in maybe another 5 more in that time period, and thus...
Adam Savage says gaffer tape is even better than duct tape, and more importantly for the subject at hand, it less prone to leaving nasty residue behind like duct tape has a bad habit of doing. Something to try I guess.
89 cents a gallon for water last I checked. Cheaper if you get it in 5 gallon jugs, cheaper still 5 gallon refillable jugs.
That's a function of technology marching forward (And Mustangs being a bit of a barker not a biter), not of the Maverick's design team aiming for the bleeding edge of...
Yes, but even the Ecoboost is about restraint. It's still a small, relatively efficient engine for what its doing. Its only as big as it has to be. And everything else about the Ecoboost is the same as the Hybrid - A vehicle just large enough to meet the drywall requirement; just tall and wide...
I don't have it in front of me, but traditional transmissions overtook manual transmission in fuel efficiency in consumer vehicles, on average, sometime in the late 2000s, and have rapidly outpaced them ever since. Modern CVTs (Of any type) and even high-gear count automatics have utterly...
I'm pretty sure the Maverick is about as small as you can make a truck while still passing safety standards and being just wide enough for plywood/drywall sheets (Which seems to be the bed standard).
What exactly are you looking for in a small truck? I guess I'm lacking in imagination like...
