No, storage probably isn't a concern at the moment considering demand. It is, how, a concern for any mining company that considers expanding it's operations. They have to consider what happens if demand suddenly falls and now they have to decide on whether they should let a bunch of expensive...
Magnesium is difficult to store because of how reactive it is. It can be stored, but it is a costly process.
Magnesium also reacts with a lot of stuff besides water. This is one of the properties that makes it so damn flammable (though this is not the primary storage concern).
It almost certainly has one. The manual doesn't list it's location - Probably because its not part of usual maintenance and possibly because it seems people like to bypass it.
The mileage tempts me, but I live in the boonies so getting help isn't easy, even if you have cell coverage. My engine overheated today and it took over an hour of limping to get to a place where help could hear me let alone find me.
Speaking of which, I have to go pick that car up. Just...
Stupid stacking. Can't Ford manage a queue?
I guess its more space efficient packing trucks in storage yards so tightly that the only way to get stuff out is to go in reverse. Stupid laws of the physical universe...
The EPA doesn't test every vehicle. Most testing is done by manufacturers. However, the Hybrid got selected for testing by an actual EPA entity.
Or at least that's my understanding of it.
Assuming the Maverick is like previous hybrids, it will still having a heating core. Some hybrids have electrical elements in the heater core, but from what I've read their purely there for maintaining heat the ICE generated during downtime. They cannot drive the system on their own.
I'm told there's a drive chain, but the only thing it does is maintain engine timing. Everything else that's traditionally belt driven - AC, water pump, whatever - Is purely electrical. The reason there's no diagram in the book for the chain is because it is not driver serviceable.
Drive chains...
Personally, as far as theft goes, I'm not concerned. I live in the boonies and no one seems to cruise our Wal-Mart looking for freebies. Soft would suit my purposes (Groceries, the odd box of random high-weight/low-value junk) just fine. I just don't think soft covers would hold up well against...
One hears a lot of stories about people who's soft covers get cut constantly, seemingly because thieves just can't resist an automotive kinder egg. I've never experienced that, but I have known people personally who had their convertible tops slashed and stuff stolen multiple times in a year...
So, quick googling says it depends on manufacturer and model. Chevrolet, GM, and some Nissan models shut themselves off when gas runs out, battery charge be damned. Toyotas go into limp mode for a mile or two and then shut themselves off, again battery charge be damned.
I don't know about the...
I'm getting a tri-fold because I live in the forest and I feel like it will a) hold up better to acorns and fallen branches and b) even if it is damaged, it would still function with a big dent, which I feel like wont be true for the rolling cover's mechanisms.
The EPA's site says its ratings are based on regular gasoline, not premium. Take that for what its worth.
The Maverick's book does say the 2.0L better performance from premium during warm weather and towing. The Hybrid, from what I understand, just takes regular.
Pennsylvania doesn't have digital license plates (Outside of a pilot program that ended last year I believe).
That said, no, I'm not particularly interested in a plate that costs 900 dollars and who's primary function seems to be to tell police to pull me over for something. Forced Amber...
Either there's a breakdown of communication between Ford and you and us, or Ford's got internal corporate structural problems far more pressing than any EPA issue. International megacorps just don't forward you to manufacturing for a chat.
So, with some quick searching, it appears NRCAN is Canada's EPA equivalent. I cannot find their standards or regulations on fuel efficiency.
However, I did find their site that displays fuel economy, and interestingly, it only has the AWD version of the Maverick listed.
Does this mean Canada...
