I've always used Blizzaks, but have tired of cha ging out every spring / fall. On my Maverick I'm trying a set of all weather tires. Michelin cross climates are one. I settled on Nokians from Discount tires. They've been great this summer, but we will see when the snow flies.

I haul my electric bike 3 times a week. I just put a 2 x 6 in the front slot & use tie-down like a motorcycle. If security is needed I fold the bike remove seat post & bars & close the trifold hard tonneau. Easy Peasy

Why look those bearings are called MAIN bearings.

Now to address the real issue. Ford has openly stated the crankshaft in said Maverick hybrids had a machining problem. Are you silly enough to think Ford came up with this band aid because the engine can't fail? Funny my escape had a 2.5 engine & Ford didn't think they better drill holes in case...

Please tell us oh wise one what is the attachment points that holds the crankshaft into the engine block. I've assembled numerous engines & I have never heard a mechanic & parts counter person call the bearings in reciprocating parts called anything but main bearings & rod bearings. Please show...

I haven't worried about the cable so much. But a crankshaft machine problem leads to rod. or main bearing failure. Rod pokes hole in block or pan oil causes fire. I've seen a pic of a toasted one. These issues aren't like my glovebox is hard to open stuff.
