I got the same deal. Was worried it wouldn't apply but no prob when I got the truck. Had to go with purchase date not order date as certificate was only good in 2022. My invoice only increased $200 so I still came out ahead.
I got a cheap set of carpet ones from Ollie's outlet. I think they were $10. Put them over the stock ones. Hopefully that will keep the stock ones lasting longer.
I had two cob lights and got a switch, with a voltmeter 12v outlet and USB charger, and installed them on the panel on the passenger side. Wired with the wire that came with the truck. Lights up the bed very nice because of where I mounted them. One on each side.
Did you hit ok after you unchecked the box? Maybe it didn't register the change? If it was unchecked, try checking and unchecking and see if that works.
I've always remembered to turn my lights on in fog and rain. This truck does it for me now. Hope my brain doesn't get lazy! I do turn the lights on in my tractor trailer for work whenever it's moving even during the day.
They were cheap bulbs but are we forgetting how much we paid for our truck? Just a little worried that's all. It will last as long as it will last and I'll take care of it if it goes out.
That is my fear too. Hopefully by the time they burn out there will be aftermarket or accident take offs because I'd hate to pay $1500 for a replacement.
Hell, I would take it to an inspection shop to see if it would pass, then keep it as is and drive it that way. Maybe look for a used Tailgate eventually. You're still coming out ahead. Keep the truck and get some cash to fix later.
Just got home from a canceled trip to Florida (thanks ian), and we saw at least 5 passing us on RT95 on the way down to Georgia. One even slowed down and honked and waved. Then saw 2 more on the way back home on RT 95 again.
We went to the drive in this summer and I just left the truck on. Only started about 6 times during two movies to recharge the batteries and only ran for about two min each time.
