Just for clarity that's a battery sensor attached to the negative post, with wires going to the BdyCM which handles the BMS function.
While it obviously senses amps going both directions charging and discharging - it only logs in the BMS charging while key on.
I do have proof.
External...
I got no inverter module either.
I'd also be curious with 22MY compared 24MY - the BdyCM.
The strategy level. Not sure if that is scanner speak, otherwise known as software version, or if that is a different thing, and I can't read it.
BdyCM - Body Control Module

The Generator motor needs to spin freely in neutral when ICE is running.
Therefore no charge is given to it in order for the normal effect of it being a generator to recharge.
Park has a pawl to hold it in place while the generator does it thing.
No ICE running?
Then the HVB is powering the...
Many multi-car families do that - EV for the daily driver, PHEV for the long trips when needed - daily driver for whoever goes shorter.
If only 1 car needed & you do rare long trips - EV & rental when needed.
Or enjoy charging along the way as part of the trip.
See my post before with several pictures.
There is NO tracking of external charging.
Only with the key to On position, or pushbutton the same.
And that would be a bad thing actually, to count that in the math.
The BMS will see the end result of doing it - higher Voltage, after a rest period to...
I noticed the same thing at rotation - backs worse, right back worse yet.
When I had a sudden pull start, I took it in for alignment after some time - they found no issue - they tightened up the front toe though.
It was after another rotation I'd done, and putting a very new replacement tire...
What is the actual size of that full size spare?
That term has meant several things thru the models it appears in many posts.
And is required for an actual compare.
Need to idle?
No.
It prefers to idle, enough so if you start driving it'll use the EV system for 30-40 seconds while the catalytic converter gets up to 1000 F, unless you are just punching it for power before that.
Unless it's too cold to draw from the battery to use the motor.
But do you punch...
That would be the 9 hr locked Relearn process to discover that.
Disconnected for the charge up may have forced it that night when reconnected.
Which would still be a good reason for doing it that way.
Otherwise the normal schedule for the Relearn could be 1-2 days away.
It's been proven multiple times by those with scanners.
80% is NOT max charge.
It keeps charging above that.
Float charge, below 1A.
Or in the thread you are in, picture proof with no change.
And it's been shown by those that changed the setting - did NOT get charge levels such they suddenly...
Well - it appears for a battery not already up high enough, or some other reason - the effect doesn't work for me.
I have NO Trailer Control Module, as I don't have a tow package, if that is a difference.
2024 XLT, no option package for 120V and inverter, if that is a difference.
I'll reply...
Like any vehicle - mpg is worse for an engine anyway in cold.
For a hybrid, even worse than estimate, which should be viewed as avg annual estimate.
Warm climates over that - cold under.
The engine will be running much more for staying at minimal operating temp, if you want heat, even more...
And then do the math on your $100 extra yearly, expected mpg (longer cold winters count big time), fuel costs - and see how many miles to break even yearly.
It appears for safety in the vast majority of EV's and others - off needs to be off.
HVB needs to be disconnected from everything a tech might be touching, or emergency responders.
I thought I heard in a post 1 vehicle that could do 12VB charging from HVB.
But other makes/models seem to confirm...
From the normal posts from those having that B issue - the parasitic drain was going to kill ya in 1 or 2 nights anyway.
Fully charged would give a few more hours.
What it would do though - is having your battery in normally healthy state, that a full drain isn't as detrimental.
Drain an...
Bob - all ya gotta do for that solution to work - is buy a hybrid!
Ready for the additional fun?
And you thought you were having fun with the battery now - you ain't seen nothing yet!
Oh - mine's different then, right now.
I'm always at 14.x - 15.x.
No matter initial seconds of 15 A down to float 0.5 A.
But that's probably because my battery is currently no where near 12.8V resting.
When it was, I did see that effect of draw.
Oh those carefree days! Literally - only lasted...
