If you had your window rolled down, you may have had a big wet nose in your ear!
  3. Maverick Steering Issues - Bad Sound

I hope we do hear back from the OP about what happened. He last posted on Sat (5 days ago) and on Friday he said it was being serviced. So it's either done being serviced by now, or else it is still a fiasco and he's going toe-to-toe with The Man. We are "waiting with bated breath".
  4. Redesign the center console

Looks like he used round hoses/parts from a vacuum for the new ducts running to the new round vent grilles on the back, for which he cut a big hole in the back of the console. Or is there a knockout panel there that he cut two round holes in? Then he disconnected the molded form-fitted stock...
  5. Unhood Insulation

"Reduced road noise and vibration" on the box
  6. Hello from the rainy PNW!

Welcome to the board, ye fellow Mav maven. Just watch out who you are clobbering with your guitar!
  7. Blackstone Labs Oil Analysis Comparison at 10k Miles

Somehow I had a problem with stripped oil pan drain plug threads on my 2007 Lincoln MKZ. I was not changing my own oil at the time. I was quoted some exorbitant amount to replace the entire oil pan by the local mechanic, who was actually the guy who did most of my oil changes. So I asked him...
  8. Redesign the center console

The console vents of course need to be hooked up to the climate control air flow supply, which is hard plastic molded ductwork under the floor covering. You would probably need to re-route the ductwork that currently goes under the seat with some custom "pipes". Let us know how you accomplish...
  9. Customer Satisfaction Program 25N17 - backup camera

The Mav and Bronco Sport do share a lot of common things. But one has a liftgate/hatch and one has a pickup tailgate, where the camera is mounted. So I kinda doubt the cameras are the same, even if they are built in the same plant. That may explain why the Mav camera isn't on the list.
  10. Flat towing a maverick

That was answered, too. Basically here: https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/flat-towing-a-maverick.81208/post-1344359 You even thanked him for it less than an hour ago.
  11. Flat towing a maverick

He's exactly right. My earlier post quotes the Owner's Manual which laid it out on a silver platter. The drive wheels must be off the ground. If you have a 2WD/FWD then you can use a tow dolly, or a full trailer if you'd like. If you have AWD then you need a full trailer. Have you read the...
  12. Maverick is being returned to Ford, hopefully our part ex 2019 Silverado is still at ford to get back

I am fairly new here, so I just learned about the many threads on this site about people claiming to lock the LH Drivers side door, maybe locking themselves out. See this thread, it's the latest one: https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/door-locking-incident.81083/ Apparently it is...
  13. Recommendation for Extended Warranty

What's the difference between Granger extended warranty and the Ford factory extended warranty that I have been receiving constant email notes about, which I assume was the same coverage that I could have bought at the dealer? I never knew the Granger warranty existed. Also, for everyone...
  14. Maverick is being returned to Ford, hopefully our part ex 2019 Silverado is still at ford to get back

OK, I always thought so as well. But a former coworker told me that he bought his Jeep Compass from a dealer that was previously returned via the Lemon Law, in Wisconsin I believe. It has a salvage title, or something like that. He said the reason it was returned as a LEMON was a simple...
  15. Maverick is being returned to Ford, hopefully our part ex 2019 Silverado is still at ford to get back

Makes perfect sense. Ask for feedback, but then either stop reading or just read in silence. Oh well, that was Friday, so it's still somewhat early. I think he will have more gripes.
  16. Maverick is being returned to Ford, hopefully our part ex 2019 Silverado is still at ford to get back

I do think you will have a problem "returning" the truck. But you may have a possible Lemon Law situation with the infotainment if it is truly broken and cannot be fixed. Personally the only persistent issue that I have with mine is with the My View settings in the IP cluster. It won't...
  17. Flat towing a maverick

You answered why, basically. It's because the EB automatic transmission isn't capable of it. What more do you want to know? If you really must know the technical details, Google or AI is there for you.
  18. Blackstone Labs Oil Analysis Comparison at 10k Miles

I sent in an oil sample from my 2015 Mustang GT on 4/1 from the Phoenix area via the USPS paid return shipping envelope they provided. I've been eagerly tracking the shipment. It "Arrived at USPS Regional Facility" in Indianapolis (very close to Ft. Wayne, IN destination) on 4/4, and it has...
  19. Maverick Steering Issues - Bad Sound

^THIS. I'm surprised that they would not deem this a safety issue and find a way to get you a loaner, which Ford pays for. It's more than just a noise, you mentioned it is affecting steering function. These guys are either stupid or lame and either/both are bad. If you have a loaner, then...
  20. Maverick Steering Issues - Bad Sound

Does anyone know how to activate the Bat Signal for that Ford Rep account on this site? The one who chimes in occasionally asking for more details so he can look into it and maybe help? This sounds like a potential recall waiting to happen if it affects steering function. Someone surely could...
