Yes, mine was also updated last night while parked in the garage.
When I drove it today, initially the "My View" settings were changed. I was hoping that the update may have fixed the glitch with the settings not being retained, reverting to the same incorrect settings, and needing to be reset...
I have a '25 hybrid, which I wanted since my wife drives a '20 Escape Hybrid (first year of that model). It has about 90k miles and is pretty awesome in my opinion.
Yes. In the city, the regenerating process would work constantly. If there was a problem, it would be even more noticeable.
Also, what is the mileage in the other direction, from ABQ to DFW?
Hmmm. I would assume that the dealer checked for any diagnostic codes, and if there is a generator...
Well, you got 4.5 yrs from the original battery, which is pretty much on the higher end lifespan of a 12V battery. Especially since it looks like you are in a warm climate from the pictures, and hot temps decreases the life.
This sounds like a case where replacing the battery is such a good...
I religiously use a quality sunshade here in AZ. One obvious thing to do to allow the sunshade to work properly is to park facing the sun, as much as possible. I just SMH when I see a shade in the windshield but the rear end is facing the sun.
And with that means that your headlamp lenses will...
I have read this entire thread, and it's great but it's over my head at times.
What I would like to know more about is trickle charging. There hasn't been much discussion about the pros/cons. I have a newer 2A/5.5A charger (link): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073P7B4P1.
I also have an...
Wider tires will have a higher rolling resistance. This is made worse by the aggressive tread pattern, both will lower fuel economy. So even the same size with this tread pattern will reduce mpg. Braking distances will increase, and you will hear more tire noise. Exactly how much is subjective.
The new tires are not much larger, really. 20mm wider (10mm per side), and 20 x 0.6 = 12mm larger dia (6mm radius). So you will have less tire clearance but you may never notice unless you are at the extreme limits of tire travel. And they will be heavier.
Your speedometer will probably show...
You may want to get one of these a/c vent thermometers. To check the temperature of the air coming out of the vents.
I keep my thermometer in the vent full time, so I know that if set it to “LO”, I will see at least mid 40’s after it reaches equilibrium, no matter how hot outside. I will...
This is exactly right. We have a '20 Escape Hybrid with 86k miles, and we have not replaced the brakes yet. It gets all oil changes at the dealer, and they always measure the pad thickness.
My service report thickness measurement at 80k was 8mm front/7mm rear (over 5mm is green).
The hybrid...
Yes, get a thermometer, you can get them at auto parts stores as well. I keep mine in the AC duct permanently just for kicks and for checking the output air temp at a glance.
Turn your temp setting to "LO" (coldest) with manual fan setting (not Auto), and if it measures 40F or so coming from...
It's more complicated, and interesting.
"Corporate Average Fuel Economy" (CAFE) is the way fuel economy works for OEMs and their various fleets. It's very complicated. The fuel economy ratings for all units/models sold by that company based on production volumes is aggregated and there is a US...
This is an older video from late 2021, but these guys designed a pretty tough test for the 1,500 lb payload rating (see video - 20 mins):
