  1. Ford Shifting to Build-to-Order Model

Ford should send out the training vehicles to each dealer and leave them with the dealer so customers can drive those around. If they like it then they can sit down and order the vehicle online with the dealership sales people helping with the options they want. There is only 3,000 or so Ford...
  2. Ordered but no email

You should get an email from ford saying its ordered. Did the dealer print out a dora and have you sign it and take a copy of your ID?
  3. 2022MY Maverick will no longer offer FWD (W8E) with Trailer Tow Package (53Q). Must add AWD for 4K Towing

I thought the original information was the 4K tow package required the AWD option as well? I know some people said they could configure the 4K package without the AWD maybe that was an error in the system. My guess is they have a limited supply of 4K towing spec transmissions or rather they...
  4. Ford Extended Warranty???

Its almost never worth it. The factory warranty is long enough duration to determine if there is a build issue with the vehicle. The extended warranties coverage is very limited most of the time. They dont cover wear items and what is considered a wear item is up to them it seems. The maverick...
  5. Any nighttime photos with the body lights on?

Have we seen any photos with any of the lights of the maverick actually on? I am wondering what the Lariat lights look like vs the base
  6. Is Undercoating Taboo?

Fluid Film is an amazing undercoating that is also not permanent
  7. Anyone looking at +40 offset wheels?

Those are a classic wheel. Should fit nice with a small spacer they are 5x108 right?
  8. The Ford plant a Hermosillo has a capacity of 300,000 vehicles a year(25K a month)

Hermosillo Stamping and Assembly plant in Mexico where the Maverick will be built has a capacity of 300k vehicles per year. Which translates to about 800 vehicles per day. This plant also produces the bronco sport and I believe the escape/corsair. I wonder how much capacity is going to go...
  9. Anyone looking at +40 offset wheels?

A good slightly wider size on an 18 inch wheel would be a 245 55 18. The tire height is within .3 percent of the factory 225 65 17 so you won't need to change the speedo either. This should fit on the C2 chassis on a 18x8 et40 wheel. It will give you that street truck look. The federal st-1 is a...
  10. [Updated 8/11 ]Previewing day update - Maverick 2.0L + 2.5L both previewing for production scheduling. All retail orders (so far)

I wonder how many orders ford actually has? I know they said 80k reservations but how many of those were doubles or how many actually ordered one? I am not really in a rush tbh
  11. Anyone looking at +40 offset wheels?

The earlier post is just for refences on what offset is and how it relates to wheel centerline positioning. My point was not exact math for each and every wheel made. Rather that changing the wheel width will increase the amount of space needed on both the inside (back spacing) and the...
  12. Anyone looking at +40 offset wheels?

Wheels do run wider than the actual width listed due to the wheel rim/lip thickness. The above was just an example. It will vary depending on how thick the lip section is. Cast wheels tend to run thicker in that area than a forged wheel because they need more material. Offroad wheels tend to run...
  13. Anyone looking at +40 offset wheels?

17x8 with ET40 should fit just fine ET30 should also fit. The lower the offset the more the wheel sticks out. Center bore should be 63.5 but larger will work if the wheels are lug centric Its the same setup as the bronco sport from what I can tell. The above poster 17x8 with ET40 should fit...
  14. The XL Trim Maverick Thread

I did the exact same build but in cactus grey.
  15. [Updated 8/11 ]Previewing day update - Maverick 2.0L + 2.5L both previewing for production scheduling. All retail orders (so far)

Guessing ford is going to build a lot of 2.0 trucks then build a lot of hybrids. Maybe October will all be ecoboosts and November all hybrids?
  16. 2023 Maverick list - 3% under invoice with @dealersider

If you can get A or Z plan pricing go for that they are the same and its the best option most of the time. X plan it depends on how much your local dealer is charging for the courtesy delivery fee. Most are 200-400 dollars. The extra costs on this are $394 doc fee(vs 275 for ford plans) and...
  17. 2023 Maverick list - 3% under invoice with @dealersider

Anyone cancelling their orders over the drop ship deposit will regret their decision if they intend to buy a maverick anytime soon. I suspect you wont get MSRP for these if they are on dealer lots anytime soon. Ford might even end up raising the MSRP price due to inflation as well as shortages...
  18. Aftermarket Wheel Availability/Wish List for your 2022+ Maverick

Good news is we should have lots of wheel options since its the same size wheels as the Bronco sport from the looks of it. 17x8 ET 35-40 with a 245/65/17 tire should fit.
  19. “Best” Exterior/Interior Color Combinations

Carbonized Grey with the XL interior is probably the best looking colour combo. I went with the cactus grey because it should be cooler in the heat and wont get as dirty as fast like the darker shades. Oxford white will be the worst colour in my opinion because it will be on all of the fleet...
