  1. Trying to locate rattle/clicking noise coming from rear seat area

I think I found my rattle. It was my soft roll up tonneau cover. It was one of the first things I thought of initially but didn't get any louder with the little back window open so I discounted it. I changed to a tri-fold hard cover and the truck is silent now. I probably eliminated a few...
  2. 100+ bed tonneau cover aftermarket options - compilation list 📃

When I got my truck in January I got a Gator SRX soft roll up. For the money ($218) it's fine. Sealed really well actually. What I didn't like is you have to undo the end every time you want to close the tailgate. That, and it does flap around a bit at highway speeds. Just last night I...
  3. New Bronze Wheels & Subs installed

exactly...that and because of the infinite baffle design there is a hole in the floor that introduces road noise. I removed the sub all together and covered the hole with two layers of sound deadening (while I was sound deadening that whole back area)
  4. Mabett Under-Seat Storage Box Now Available (Power & Manual Versions)

pew pew...me too Just ordered the driver side for my Lariat
  5. Anybody run the maverick on strictly premium fuel?

Totally agree on this. We can debate octane, but the most important thing is use Top Tier fuel. The Motor Oil Geek reviewed a test of this. With Direct Injected engines Top Tier fuel was 700% cleaner burning than regular fuel. Look it up on his channel. That is huge reduction in carbon.
  6. Trying to locate rattle/clicking noise coming from rear seat area

Interesting. I only tried opening and closing the window on the highway which didn't change it much. Could be rattling in the track. I will try wedging something in there and report back.
  7. Trying to locate rattle/clicking noise coming from rear seat area

I have the same problem. Only when I go over 70. I thought it was my soft bed cover. Nope I thought it was my sliding rear window. Nope I thought it was the center seat belt. Was so confident I removed it. Nope. Drives me nuts.
  8. Simple B&O upgrade and sub solution.

8 ohm is less taxing on an amp so I doubt it. Having said that, I used the Dayton ND91 which is 8 ohms and it seems to fill in nicely. Of all the Dayton 3 1/2 speakers I looked at, it had the flattest frequency response and doesn't seem tinny. You have to use washers to catch the tabs but it...
  9. 23 lariat B&O sub addition made a HUGE DIFFERENCE!!

Yes, disconnect and remove the 6x9 sub. Cover the hole in the floor. Put the amp there. Use the lead from the sub into the high input of the amp, or into a Line Output Converter or LOC then into the amp. Amps or LOCs with DSP work best as there is a cutoff at 35hz. DSP restores the signal...
  10. 23 lariat B&O sub addition made a HUGE DIFFERENCE!!

The 6x9 sub is terrible. Do you have a Kicker 500.1 Key amp? Wait til you hook that up. The factory sub is cut off at 35hz. The Kicker Key will even out the signal down to 20hz. The best upgrade I've done is the sub and amp. Also, sound deadening that area helps a lot too.
  11. 2.0L - Ecoboost downgraded to 238/HP ?

Exactly why I did it. By '24 they had most of the bugs worked out of the original platform. My '24 had been great so far (5000 miles). Not to mention less expensive that the '25 as well.
  12. Can’t decide between 3 new tires. Nokian APT, Cooper R&T, Yokohama G015

I lamented the same way. I also looked at the Falken Wildpeak. I went with the Coopers and couldn't be happier. 245/65/17. Quiet, good ride, steers good, and great in the snow. They are more on the "street" side than the off-road side, but for me that was the best fit. They are also the...
  13. Rear Speakers

I did the rears in addition to the fronts with Morel. The rears aren't as important so the entry level Maximo set worked fine and sounds good. They just fit. you may have to put a dent in the hole where the magnet goes as it just fits...
  14. Best B&O sub drop-in replacement?

I tried this Dayton upgrade too and was disappointed. I ended up with a box under the passenger rear seat, an amp, and 10" inch driver. Others have had luck with the smaller self powered under seat units. There is no driver that will upgrade the stock infinite baffle sub. Its just a poor...
  15. Subwoofer options

I did the passenger side Ground Shaker 10" and a 2 ohm JL Audio 10W1v3 paired with the Kicker Key 500.1. Used the B&O sub lead. Sounds great. Clean. I did take the plastic bins out and used a whole box of sound deadening back there. Also open foam on the bins. Sound-deadening the Maverick...
  16. Installed kicker key, now the bass is gone

There is an iPhone app called "speaker pop". You download it and play a test tone on a USB stick. It will check polarity. From the factory, my '24 Lariat's passenger woofer was out of phase which was cancelling out all of my bass (and I didn't realize this until I spent hundreds on upgrades...
  17. MPG with 4K Tow Package?

'24 with fx4 and tow package. 245/65/17 Cooper Discoverer Road + Trail. First trip. Using premium. Driving conservative in Eco (added Eco and Sport) 27.5. Could've probably got it to touch 28. Rest of trip, driving normal 26.1. About what I expected with the tires.
  18. Kicker Key 500.1 test tones

Finally hooking up my sub tonight. I have the B&O. Removing the factor sub, using that lead into a Kicker Key 500.1, with a Ground Shaker 10" sealed box, and a JL 10W1 v3 2-ohm. Two questions for those of you that have installed a Kicker Key 500.1 with B&O. Do I just use one connection into...
  19. Kicker Key 200.4 Install in 2024 Lariat w/ B&O

I just ordered the Sound Design box for the passenger side, a Kicker Key 500.1 and a 2ohm JL 10w1v3. Interesting to note, I upgraded the the front speakers already. On the doors, I used plug and play adapters. Didn't sound right now matter what I did. The passenger door speaker was out of...
