I've read discount tire will buy them off you. I like the Scorpions and will run them out, then replace with a larger tire like a 245/65R17. Ordering the FX4 and Tow packages was a good decision for me. It's an awesome truck.
It's the black platinum kit from Ford accessories. I used some of my ford pass points to pay for them. They are thick, rough laser cut around the edges but looks good installed.
Good to hear you got yours too. I had no issues or surprises either with Woody Anderson in Huntsville. I used to live in Town n Country off of Hanley Rd/Waters, so I know of the dealership you dealt with.
It's the perfect length. No leaks or problems yet. I was also looking at the signature model to the canvas type material but I read that it's harder to maintain and will fade faster than the vinyl. The best price I found was at tonneaucoversworld.
Yea, a grand for a hard cover is a bit much, so I went with the Extang Trifecta 2.0 which looks very close to the optioned Ford one. I paid $368. I'm happy with the quality, and it doesn't sit too high when folded.
This is what I used, a shackle hitch. I like it as it goes with the front tow hooks and looks better than the ball hitch and looks better than an open space. I got it off amazon.
I got the black platinum on my alto blue. They look real good. They look like black smoke mirrors. They are thick. They’ll look a little rough around the cut edges when you get them but look fine once they’re on. I posted pics on the Alto Blue club forum.
For just stone chips which normally occur on the leading edge of the hood, then the aeroskin is probably the best option for you. I got touch-up paint to cover the chips for now but might eventually put on the Lund aeroskin to cover them up.
The OEM Aeroskin, all it really does is protect the front face of the hood, essentially covering up and sticking directly to the factory paint. A deflector mounts more upright, off the paint and is more functional in deflecting rocks and bugs from the hood and windshield.
The AVS Bugflector II...
Tonneau cover was a good investment.
OEM Accessories:
Vertical cargo net for grocery shopping - Most useful
Black platinum tailgate lettering - Nice exterior upgrade on the alto blue
Bed mat - The Maverick logo is cool. pretty good quality,
door sills - very nice. similar to the black...
The Extang has 3 sturdy support beams but no they are not as good as the hard covers. Not a good idea to put stuff on top. Also the soft covers will flutter going down the road.
