Found this YT video about a guy who's Maverick hybrid transmission failed and his attempt at replacing
it himself. I did a search but don't find it here on MTC. So here it is...
What the OP did was interesting so I decided to search a few junkyards here in SoCal.
(I'm retired so I have lots of time to waste)
Pick-Your-Part has 14 locations in SoCal. I did a few random searches for Maverick parts...
fenders, a/c compressors, engine and engine components. For a few year...

Just now I talked to my Ford dealer. I'd like to order a 2026 Maverick hybrid Lariat with 4k tow.
He said it would take between 3 to 6 months to arrive. It's from one of the largest Ford dealers
in the U.S. Not sure if that makes any difference. Sound about right?
I'm in no hurry, as I have my...
My local dealership is offering this 10yr/100,000 mile mechanical warranty.
But it doesn't look like it covers electrical or computer systems.
Any opinions?

Good point. I have to keep in mind that the hybrid may do well on unpaved roads and those with
uneven surfaces, but it's not intended to be an off-road truck. And if I push it beyond its limits
I'll be sorry.
Not much I can add except...if you buy the extended warranty from the dealer the cost is negotiable. Whatever price they offer you, try to get it lower.
At least this was true when I bought my Toyota.
It did pretty good. Perhaps a Maverick hybrid would do just as well. Btw, I have a 2025 Rav4 hybrid
AWD. I'd be too scared to take it on this off-road course. :)
Thank you for your insight. My knowledge of vehicle mechanics is rather limited.
I guess I could make my own Tremor-lite. Buy the hybrid with the 4k tow package and add
a little larger A/T tire. And increase the lift a bit. Should do well for camping trips and when
exploring unpaved roads.
Just thinking a hybrid Tremor would be the best of both worlds - great fuel economy and the ability to do some mild off-roading.
But since the Maverick has more of a uni-body design, and the weight of the hybrid battery, a Tremor version won't work.
So maybe I answered my own question.
But it's...
