Dear Ford, don’t sell options you can’t build. Thanks for using up all the constrained parts on Sep/Oct orders last quarter instead of prioritizing summer orders.
Hey @Ford Motor Company why not just un-bundle the Lux package and let people pick the options that are truly important to them? Some people may want the heated seats, but could care less about the SIBL and vice versa. Seems like a smart thing to do if the supply chain issues are truly a problem.
The only thing I see is vehicle prices going up, not down. Coupled with the fact that the Maverick is a bargain of a truck, finance rates are low and trade in prices are high I think it's a perfect time to buy and drive til the wheels fall off.
Anyone from Chapman get scheduled today? I'm seeing a lot of hybrids ordered in August receive emails today and still nothing for me. By the looks of it many have the same constraint items I'm waiting on (hybrid, lux, 360) so I'm not sure what they deal is.
@Dealerinsider any updates for those...
Here's a novel idea Ford... remove all optional accessories that can be added after delivery and just build the damn trucks in the *$&%ing order they were placed.
EB Lariat Lux ordered in June? Boom scheduled production date.
XLT Hybrid ordered in November? Not built until supplies are in.
No...
I'm right there with you. I gave Ford the benefit of the doubt up until now. I realize the hybrid ramp took longer than expected, there are material shortages and realistically Chapman had a large backlog of orders ahead of me. To now see that the entire reservation/ordering process didn't mean...
Good God I hope you're not right haha. I think I changed the color in Oct/Nov. The only reason I don't think that would matter is when people drop a constrained option/accessory and then get scheduled right away.
I'm am beyond confused at Ford's scheduling process. This is my exact build, from the same exact dealer but ordered over a month after mine and I am still somehow unscheduled.
