So after the purge valve did not fix my truck (shocker…apparently they fired the parts cannon at it), they ordered me a charcoal canister and a fuel tank pressure sensor which should fix it. However the sensor is on back order…hoping this doesn’t drag out forever!

Just had my truck into the dealer today and they diagnosed it as the “purge flow assembly”. Covered under warranty, ordered the part, will take it in to get replaced. No hassle, hopefully that is the fix.

No change, it’s kind of a weird thing. Sometimes it brakes smooth, sometimes it doesn’t. Not sure if it’s just a characteristic of the tires interacting with the road surface at that specific speed? I had asked the dealer to look at it and they of course couldn’t duplicate the issue.

No noise on mine, but I do notice that when I brake from 50 to 40, there is a definite vibration in the steering wheel. At speeds above or below the 40 to 50 range it is smooth. Very strange to me but isn’t a huge deal.

Yep! Sometimes they work beautifully and then they’ll skip. It’s so inconsistent. At least I’ve got it to a place where it doesn’t make noise.

Just an update now that we got our first real rain in a long time (thankfully, we needed it). It still does the skip. However, with the new blades and clean windshield there is no noise, so I am going to have to deal with it and it’s far less annoying than before where it would squeak...

I live in an area that heavily salts the roads, so everything rusts out in no time. In an attempt to prolong the life of my truck I did a Fluid Film spray treatment and will do that each year before winter. Hoping it helps, I’ve seen some good results from it.

I had some rail dust that a clay bar took care of nicely. I didn’t do all of the truck, just the spots that had the rail dust.

So far so good, just did a long road trip but there was no rain other than a brief shower, seemed to work okay during that. Just using the wipers for windshield washing they seem a lot smoother now. Fingers crossed, but it’s been very dry here so haven’t had a real chance to test it out.

I just cleaned the windshield with Meguiars Perfect Clarity cleaner (great stuff by the way!!) and installed new blades (Rain-X Silicone Endura). As of now they work nice and smooth. I will report back and see how long it lasts. It’s been dry here so my ability to test is limited but hopefully...

This makes sense to me, I notice the same thing with it shifting the position of the blade rubber. I also feel like when I tried a different set of blades (Rain-X Latitude) the problem seems to go away or at least get significantly better as when it does that weird “park” motion, the new blades...
