For me.
1) Lower the Maverick
2) get around to installing my 2 amps and the subs
3) install a paint matched hood scoop
4)paint the top of the truck black
5) add 20s or 21s rims and tires
6) possibly swap the mudflaps for fender flares.

I had the same problem. What I noticed is that the 2 stuck together due to a vacuum. Similarly to how sometimes it's hard to remove a trash bag from a trashcan.

yes. It doesn't constantly make the sound when my foot is on the brake. It's initially does it as it engages. It also does this when driving from a stop OR engaging reverse.
I had a few instances where the fob wouldn't work. I had to open the truck using the physical key. The cluster gave me some sort of warning until I put the key in the switch. I don't remember the warning.
Has anyone noticed a popping sound when either engaging the trans into gear or when accelerating from a complete stop?
I don't hear the sound when in park or idle and revving the engine. As soon as you put it in drive you can hear it, even when your foot is still on the brake.

I wasn't sure what a posi-tap was and I just watched a youtube video explaining its usage. Seems like someone added a non-standard item to your truck. This could be anything that wasn't factory.
