I agree most vehicles give optimistic results on mpg. The worst was my TDI. 8-10% is just dishonest. Why would you want to program your truck to be inaccurate the other way? Just wondering.

Sounds like things are all over the place. Particularly with the Hybrids. Mine (EB) seems to be pretty spot on. Anecdotally, that is. I'll be starting a 5k, 2 week road trip next week and will be logging miles and consumption. Pikes Peak is on the list!

Whatever it ends up being, it does not sound good. With your Mav being essentially barely broken in, the dirty oil, and that repeatable sound, I'd take action immediately. Sorry I couldn't give you any insight. The only thing I would try is to have someone drive your Mav while you're outside...

A few people have said the same. I ordered from Mabett and those are what I got. I'd never even heard of Maxzina. All evidence points to the contrary though. 🙃

I would bank/invest all the money/premiums you would otherwise put toward an extended warranty. I'm sure there's exceptions, but we're talking thousands of dollars! On an owned from new vehicle! Keep your money!

Exactly what Butterscotch said. And the cost is very reasonable. I didn't like a little lifting (less than 1/8 inch) on the lower leading edge on one of them so I used a spot of super glue. It's been over a year and a very rough winter and still look new and tight to the fenders. My only regret...

I love every square inch of BC! I've mountain biked the Selkirks and the Kootenays. Vancouver Island, Sun Coast, Squamish, North Vancouver, and even Whislter I've ridden. Up there those are big elevations. Sea to Sky.
