I put gloss black vehicle wrap on the windshield for a brow, kinda Nascar style. $15 on amazon. Just lined up the lower edge with the top of the camera. It's about 3/4" above the little marks (AS1?). So much nicer.
I've settled on 35f 32r in the same tires, just for ride quality.
I do autocross the Lobo and will air up to 40f / 35r before the drive to the event, and sharp edge bumps and pavement gaps are far more noticeable than with the lower psi. Of course, the handling is sharper and the tires roll...
On the other hand, 7 autocross runs definitely does not help increase fuel economy. Dropped the average over a mpg even near the end of the tank. But it's fun!
Did the fourth event this year on Sunday.
I retried Lobo mode + stability off again. Made three runs with Lobo mode and stability on as a baseline and to learn the course, then three with stability off. Stability off was over a full second faster. I was shocked. Truck felt like it flowed...
SCCA measures track width (centerline of tire to centerline of tire), not overall width. In other words wider tires won't help.
My Lobo with Goodwin springs just barely passes tech. The roof height is ~1/8" lower than the track width.
Larger diameter wheels add weight faster than the lower sidewall tires lose weight (for every inch of diameter increase, the rim band is 3.14" larger in circumference).
In other words, larger diameter wheels are heavier.
My notes from three autocrosses this year........
-The seatbelt hack is super effective for someone of average or smaller size. It's possible to cinch yourself down so tight as to restrict breathing. The seats are OK after doing this.
-Turning the headrest 180 degrees is a must.
-I've got the...
This.
I'm a fan of the motor oil geek. It actually took me a bit to figure out he owns speeddiagnostics since he rarely speaks of it. It's nothing like a health influencer and AG1. lol.
It is funny people get so wound up about other people wasting money on oil changes. I couldn't care...
I lowered my Lobo with the mild goodwin springs. After the install I checked the camber and three of 4 wheels were right at 1 degree, and one of the rears was at 1.7. Still in spec.
Motortrend winter 2026 issue with the maverick as truck of the year lists the regular mav with a 16.2 ratio rack, and the lobo with a 15.3 ratio. So almost 6% quicker. I knew I saw it somewhere......
edit, corrected mag title
So why are you posting in the Lobo subforum at all? You could be smug in your hybrid superiority elsewhere. I'm not trolling the hybrid guys saying I'm enjoying the 60 hp hp advantage of the EB motor, and the unquestionable vastly superior handling of the Lobo package.
So likewise, your...
