Im confused, you are looking to buy the truck and then turn around right away and make money on it? Hopefully? I would think if your having money problems, dont buy the truck. Its not worth it just to make a couple dollars....maybe?
Pathetic cost cutting in my opinion. Not every Mav is the $20K version. When you get into the $30K plus territory, these missing items start to add up.
I would not have a dealer do this add on. This is not their expertise at all. Take it to a shop that does this for a living. Probably get a better price and a better selection of tops.

For $1,200 I would see if they would take it all back and get one installed at a shop that does this for a living. You might even save some money for a 3rd party cover that is better constructed.
Did you buy a service plan or extended warranty plan? If these guys are scum, I would cancel their plan and contact one of the online ford sellers and you will save money for sure.
