I have a 2017 escape titanium 2.0 that just died at 69k miles due to this issue. I had an extended warranty through AutoNation (the vehicle was new when I bought it tho, 500ish miles) and they told me to pound sand because I don't have documentation of an oil change I did around 30k.
Prepping...
That's good news to me that maybe those constrained items aren't constrained for all of our orders. Just dealer stock.
Makes sense to me to keep retail orders happy.
As with most smallish turbo engines, by far the biggest bang for buck is just a tune. And given that ford has had a factory tune available that keeps warranty in tact for a lot of other Ecoboost...maverick could have 310hp 330lb/ft for what is essentially a 800 dollar dealer option.
I would expect the maverick to be more efficient than the bronco sport, I would bet that the fx4 affects mileage more, with a higher profile and tires with higher rolling resistance.
"technically" but you know the people who design the charging circuits know that too, I think its safe to say that the battery will (should) last at least the warranty period with 100-0-100 charge cycles. I doubt they take the cells higher than 4.2 on a full charge or far enough on the low end...
I'd rather have a PHEV drivetrain like the rav4 prime, where the hybrid is more powerful *and* more efficient than the gas only version.
A 300hp maverick that could do 40 miles electric only (what is that, maybe a 15kwh pack?) and the pro power thing from the F150....ooooie thats a nice one.
