Do you think FX4 affects the payload rating here at all? My order is 2.0 AWD XLT/Lux with 4k and copilot and sunroof. I hope it doesnt go much lower than that sticker
Sorry if it seemed like I was arguing, I loved my 2017 escape 2.0, it was a blast. I got it because my focus ST wasn't big enough for a carseat and the escape kept my inner "boy racer" satisified. I don't think they're slow, they're definitely fast enough to get in trouble and surprise people...
Thats a fun sounding vehicle, I'm going to need to see more than just the tach and speedo though...
I'll admit that makes me wonder which hat in my house is easiest to eat tho....
I had Bridgestone potenza 760 as 225/45/r17 are you saying that 250hp can spin 4 cheap all season tires on a whim? I also had a 2017 escape with the 2.0 ecoboost and never once got any power induced wheel spin. I drove that one hard too, but not quite like the wrx.
If the 2.0 can spin all 4 i'll eat my hat.
I had a 2.5 liter 2010 wrx that I pushed 22 lbs of boost through, it would barely chirp the tires dropping the clutch at 4500 (I abused that vehicle). It was 305 hp at the wheels with my mods, theres very little chance of the maverick AWD slipping...
Then perhaps the enterprise isnt worth doing, and there are better/higher uses of everyones time.
Capitalism at work. For it to work, sometimes businesses fail, sucks to suck.
If it *IS* worth doing, then pay should rise to be able to purchase the labor, therebye directing resources from a...
I would be *more* happy with electric AWD. Less wear parts, less to fail, less space required. More parts reuse, more efficient, tweakable OTA.
Whats not to love?
This thread is insane.
Yes you, previous posters, you are insane.
The amount of angry rhetoric about dem foreigners takin are jobs is too damn high. And then there is the people who seem to be on the other side but only sorta...what is going on there? Seriously, WTF is this thread?
I ordered with @Dealerinsider back on the 16th and forgot to post, kudos to him for running such a great operation.
Top notch speed, whole thing was super easy, can't wait to see my A51 Hybrid FE when it comes in :)
but the linkage is not held mechanically, the engine can be spinning while the wheels are not. the piece that transfers power to the wheels is the larger of the two electric motors.
I'm still unclear how the vehicle can be rated for a higher power output than MG2 that is connected to the wheels, how can that be 126hp but the vehicle rated for 191? It seems that no matter what else is going on the power to the wheel will be limited by the force that can be applied by the...

FAQ question 11 says you should inform the dealer of X-plan eligibility during first contact. This document also answers most questions anyone has posted here about X-Plan (including the trade in thing) and if you have...
I went back and forth on it, the only thing I'd be likely to tow with it is my father in laws J/24 which is 3100 lbs dry (trailer not included) and tall enough that calling it 20sq ft of frontal area is a straight up lie. I really enjoyed the 2.0 in my focus ST and escape. But this vehicle...
I think the consensus at this point is that its a design defect that causes the head gasket to fail at a spot where failure results in coolant leaking into the combustion chamber, this problem always manifests as low coolant (but with no visible leaks, because its all vaporized out the...
