I got the VelossaTech Big Mouth Dual Ram Air Snorkels (damn, that's a mouthful) installed over the weekend just in time for the Carlisle Nationals! Definitely not as visible from the front as I was hoping. But overall I like it.
Install video coming soon.
The only real difference is the factory trailer brake controller and the added oil cooler. Adding a trailer brake controller to an AWD Hybrid would easily be able to tow 4k lbs.
That is correct. I know when Ford first announced the Maverick they said both the EcoBoost and Hybrid would have the 4k option available. Then shortly after the order banks opened they notified people who had ordered a Hybrid with the 4k that it was not available. So I'm sure that with the AWD...
Not gonna lie, at first I hated the blue "ST" that I saw. But I am absolutely loving the '25 Maverick front end. It's going to be tempting to not buy one! And I know a ton of people will be very happy about the AWD Hybrid option.
Actually looking at this again...they're both Hybrids, both have the same dealer sticker on them, and the exact same stacks??? I'm willing to bet that this is the same owner and they traded the blue one in.
...Either that or this is the weirdest dealer package I've ever seen in my life.
I'm sorry, I lied. I looked at the diagrams again and how you had them and it looks like you had it right.
I'm not sure why it's not working then, unless your pins aren't seated down all the way and aren't making the connection with the PCM. I know when I did mine it definitely took some good...
It will kick out of gear and resume back to normal operation, but it's based on the computers parameters. If I downshift to 5th, and then cruise as normal it will just go back to auto. But if I shift down to 4th and I'm accelerating and decelerating and driving sporty it will hold the gear much...
The diagram for the Maverick won't list those pins for shift up, down, and the comm wire because the Maverick doesn't come with them. That's why he posted the wiring diagrams from the other vehicles that do have that feature. The only difference between the two clock Springs is the wiring for...
I am really digging that XL grille. Looks better than the Lariat one. I think this Maverick refresh actually has the potential to look really good. I'm excited to see these actually unveilled.
I say it all the time. I've used my Maverick for doing more stuff than what 90% of "real truck" owners have done with theirs. And mine is lowered too 😆
Not sure why it's that surprising, Ford always changes the front bumper, headlights, and grille on the refresh. I'm honestly surprised they kept the same hood with this refresh as a lot of the time they change the hood too.
But Ford has always had either ugly launches with amazing refreshes, or...
I will say this. I do like the new "Ford" emblems, the one on the grille looks bigger, but the tailgate emblem should fit onto our 22-24 Mavericks. Maybe they light up? They look like they light up.
I'm "meh" on the wheels. I don't love them and I don't hate them, but I am at least glad to see...
I am quite enjoying how much everyone is complaining about the wheels 😆 like half of us haven't swapped our wheels out for something else.
But at least they're trying something new, and it is nice to see factory 19's on it.
A lot of people don't understand how much suspension plays into towing capacity. Thats the same reason the Broncos and the F150 Raptor have such a low tow-rating because of the soft suspension made for driving off road and bouncing around comfortably.
That is true, but you'd also think that for a "Sport" truck you would have some sort of nice looking rear or side exit exhaust. I do like how the rear bumper is more sporty than the bumper we have now, but it would look really cool with some dual exhaust cutouts.
