Randall Reed Ford isn't doing any markups on orders. Don't know about dealer inventory. The only Mavericks they have on their website are special orders sold units. Mine included.
Mine is also. The fine print shows it as a "special order sold unit".
The fact that it is listed at the price of the build gives me confidence that the dealership isn't going to play games with the price.
If you are in a position where you are comfortable waiting then get the truck that suits your needs the best.
If you are pressed to get something sooner then get what you can.
Hopefully they will use this break in scheduling to clear some of the backlog of trucks completed with the exception of waiting on chips before they can be shipped.
The VVR shows mine as produced but on chip hold.
Still showing a January 2 ETA so it would have to be shipped in less than a week to make Dallas on time.
Still hopeful.
Yeah if the modes are scrolled through by pushing a button, it seems that all necessary equipment is there and is disabled in the firmware.
Ford probably would have sold more FX4 packages if they had enabled all modes.
You change your order to a more expensive Ecoboost and the dealer gets a hybrid to sell off the lot with a substantial markup.
Win,win... for the dealer.
My military service was late 70's early 80's when there was no major military conflicts. I'm ok not getting any special discount.
For those vets that served overseas in shooting wars, they should definitely have their service recognized.
Universal Extendable Pick-Up Truck Rack Bed Rack Aluminum (Truck Rack & Cross Bars)
Has anyone used this rack? I need something for kayaks and this looks like it would fit and is several hundred less than a comparible Yakima rack.
According to Tim Bartz it was a quality issue with certain chips on all configurations. The production is resuming and will be built soon.
I don't mind waiting a few extra days if it prevents a recall after taking delivery.
