My experience has been:
Fuel Gauge: This is more like a guide. The 1/8 increments are not small enough for it to be accurate
Miles Empty: This seems to start off really high when I fill the tank. 500+ miles. As it approaches 100 MTE, it seems to be more accurate. When I reach 70 MTE, I start...
I set my AC to 70, auto at 3 bars. Put my blues playlist on the radio with volume at 9 and a water bottle in the cupholder. I also set up the bike mount. Time to hit the trails. :)
When I first got my Maverick, I was curious as to how the hybrid system works. I did some research and got my brain wrapped around it. I'm no mechanical genius, but the simplicity is quite elegant. At least for a powertrain.
That's what I was thinking. Just want to make sure I wasn't missing something. I typically drive in normal mode but have used eco the past week or so. To me the differences are noticeable when I accelerate from a stop and when I slow down. At highway speeds, I don't do much of either.
I'm also a bit OCD about rattling and such. I've discovered two things. First, tracing the noise is difficult. It never comes from where it sounds like it's coming from. Second, it ends up being something in the rear seat. I jiggle and shuffle stuff around until it goes away.
Another thing I do...
In the Forscan app, I have "12v Aux Battery" selected as of my items to monitor. The reading I get is usually between 14.0 - 14.5 volts. Is this normal? If so, why is higher than 12v nominal value?
Same for me. I set mine at 72 and occasionally adjust the fan speed if I need to. It's the first vehicle I've had where the "Auto" actually works as expected.
The seat rails are designed to slowly loosen over time. This is based on the assumption that French fries and other debris will find its way to this area. Otherwise, the wedged debris will create excess tension on the rails and the seat won't adjust properly.
At least in theory. 🙂
If you can...
My advice, use caution, understand what you're signing up for. I had two occasions where I felt it was a wasted effort and no value for me.
1. When my daughter purchased her first car, I recommended she get the oil change service. This way, it's "prepaid" and all she has to do is take it to the...
I, too, have experienced this on my 25 MY Lariat. Early mornings when it's cold while sitting at stop light. I usually just inch forward a little and it stops.
I tested this yesterday to confirm after I made the post. In my garage where the floor is level, the parking brake did not engage. I backed out onto the driveway which has a slight slope, it did engage.
Mine does. 2025 Lariat hybrid. Also, when I turn it off, it is automatically set to park and the parking brake is set. When I start the truck and select forward or reverse, then press the accelerator, the parking brake releases. I only do it manually just as a precaution to confirm it's engaged.
