Thanks, I had to cut off approx 3/4" from the 2x8 so that they match the height of the tailgate. Those holes did lighten up the 2x8 significantly, and could also be used to tie down to in addition to the bed tie downs. The one closest to the tailgate also works well to keep tools, etc from...

If you cut those dividers to match the tailgate in the high position, you'll have an effective bed length of 6'5". I was able to bring home 10 foot long 2x8's.
