I dislike turbo charged and gas direct injected engines. Oil dilution from fuel and coked up intake valves; no thanks. Plus the eCVT in the hybrid is rock solid and a truly great transmission. The best transmission I've ever had, and I've had manual, torque convertor and dct, it beats them...

You definitely got a bad one. I'd be pissed off too. I can't say the same for my hybrid, 15k+ trouble free miles. If and when you get a Toyota, I hope it will be trouble free. Good luck.

I have an idea. Remove the 15 screws, remove the under engine guard, change your oil and filter, re-install under engine guard, wash up and go have lunch.

I stand corrected. Thanks. When I took delivery in May '22, I did like alot of owners do. I familiarized myself where things were under the hood, location of spare tire, where to find the 12v battery under the seat, etcetera. But wether or not it was an AGM was not even on my radar.

You just had to get the Mexican thing in there, didn't ya. I wonder how many Mexicans work on the American assembled Ram 1500 assembly line? Care to venture a guess? Buy and bought? What?

Right, a catch can on the hybrid is completely unnecessary. A can of BG Products Platinum 44K for hybrids or BG CF5 every 10,000 miles in the fuel does a great job of keeping things clean and tidy. I run a tank full using the CF5 before every oil change.

Why is it ridiculous? It is not the engine battery, whatever that is. It is a 12v agm battery that starts the computers. Besides, there is no room in the engine bay for it. The hybrid system takes up alot of space, relatively speaking.

The Ford Duratec Atkinson cycle or non Atkinson cycle engines are known to be very easy on oil. Going down to 5 or 10 percent on the IOLM is not problematic for these engines.
