Watched this one before work this morning, and while no surprises there, I could certainly see how saving a whole gallon every 100miles could easily cover the $1K price gap in just a year or two for many...
I'd be interested in something with a lid. Don't like getting in the habit of placing phones or glasses on the dash due to the heat. Deformed a few things in my old F150 from tossing them in the dashboard tray and forgetting them there in the peak of summer.
Morons aside, nostalgic paint schemes always have a market, even if limited compared to the main choices - just makes them more unique and appealing for some. They are selling a heck of a lot of Broncos with retro paint schemes right now, including multiple choices with variants of the white...
I like the steelies specifically because it's so easy to colour match them. I'll need a second set for snow tires, and picking up some cheap take-offs and matching your combo with rings and caps is definitely a contender.
Lots of FORD history to the baby blue and white package, so I think a white vinyl wrap to the roof panel, and white wheels would be a great option for the Mav community. I also like how the outline on the air dam looks on this one, and white accents there and the grill might really pop too.
Hey All,
I'm looking for options for hauling my 13' inflatable boat with the Mav - just locally, not expecting any highway miles. Most obvious option seems to be a combo of bedrail-type raised rack with a third roof bar, or possibly just a pair of roof bars with a rear hitch tower (with or...
Yes, I'm expecting to either have to replace the tri-fold with a hard cover, or considering options like the Truxedo Elevate. That one would work well for my 13' inflatable boat, but not be ideal for bikes or a cargo box unless I could drop it right down to the level of the bedrails.
I certainly think most folks who take the time to join such a targeted forum or model-specific club are certainly more 'interested' in their purchase than the average bear. Perhaps a skew towards a techier/farkle obsessed audience too? 🤷♂️
I did a similar setup on on old F150 with the Lund hard cover, and a Yakima permanent mount system, and it was a great solution. Lockable, lighted, etc, and strong enough to stand on when loading bikes or gear. My Mav came with the dealer tri-fold tonneau, but I'm considering options to add a...
I certainly agree, but personally the main reason I like to have a true matching spare is that you often find tire dealers that won't sell you one odd tire, they always pressure to buy in pairs/sets - sometimes refusing to do the work outright unless you do. That makes it particularly tough if...
Honestly, I don't feel a plug-in option is worth the effort with only a 1.1 KW battery. That is truly tiny in EV terms and has no practical 'range' because the truck can't fully function without the engine anyway (can't accelerate hard, climb a hill, sustain high speed, etc.). Now if they...
Technically you are not wrong, however when it comes to little utility trailers bound for the dump, or light watercraft, the average adjustor or investigator can't tell the difference between 2k and 3k on the side of the road. We all assume risk in our daily life, and there are those that are...
I was originally on the hunt for a 4K tow optioned hybrid Mav for my small fishing boat (~3K) or the occasionally borrowed/rented trailer, but couldn't find one in stock nearby. When the service manager explained the actual drivetrain differences (cooling upgrades, not springs or hitch), I...
