Are you paying for full coverage? I did have to take out a loan for mine, but I am tracking that many on this forum were able to pay cash for their vehicles, which would allow them to not have full coverage. (Although I don't see why one wouldn't select that for a brand new vehicle anyway.)...
Interesting, I automatically thought about putting them on storage status when I read the first mention of rotating them. I guess it isn't a feature that is that common.
Rotating vehicles in and out of insurance doesn't automatically mean taking them off the coverage.
Our insurance company is also our bank (USAA), and they let us put vehicles in storage status, even if we have a loan on them. They are covered in case of theft or natural disasters while in...
Our insurance company (USAA) has a "storage" feature. We keep the vehicle on the policy, but list it as being stored and not driven. If we do need to use the vehicle, we just have to let them know 24 hours in advance.
You got lucky, three years ago a deer jumped across two lanes of traffic and landed on my hood while I was going 60 mph.
Overall a very easy event. No airbags deployed, I was able to roll to a stop in an exit lane, and the deer didn't even get gutted.
BUT: My car was totaled, and...
Don't go with the body shop their insurance insists on. If your dealer doesn't have one, ask them for their best recommendation.
Then demand OEM parts to be used. Get estimates and present them to the insurance company, It's your car, they cannot tell you what parts to use.
If the other...
This was my last stick-shift vehicle, a 2017 VW Golf Sportwagen. A deer jumped across two lanes of traffic onto my hood, bounced off, and landed in the ditch, while I was cruising at 60 mph. Windshield and front bumper intact. No airbags deployed. It was totaled out once they started digging...
That would explain some of my blades. I lived in central TX for 8 years, don't tell my insurance company, but my vehicles weren't as regularly garaged as they may have thought.
Now I live in eastern WA, our summers are near as hot (and drier) as they were in TX, just slightly shorter.
My...
Did your OEM mats on the passenger side come with the little holes for the button?
Mine did not, although the carpeted floor mats were attached with the button thing.
Oh I totally get that some people are so convinced that EVs will never be what they need them to be. So they won't.
But if you post selective stuff, like your very interesting, but hardly representative of reality, picture, you got to be prepared for others to respond.
I know I am not the...
This wasn't a "gotcha" post.
This was an example of how anecdotal evidence proves nothing. Just poking a little fun at the guy who posted a similar picture of people lined up at a charging station.
I can't believe I have to explain this to people...
I know going through a lot of posts in a 51 page thread isn't for everyone. If you are interested, I would encourage you to look for posts from @GPSMan on this thread, showing you how much more efficient electric cars are. Because they can convert electricity into movement more efficiently...
Have you gone into your settings (on the radio) to see if you have the camera delay box checked? It isn't checked on mine, and it could mean that the camera stays on longer after you shift out of reverse, but maybe it means that there is a delay before it turns on?
I've had something very similar happen to me a couple of times during my road trip (900 miles roundtrip) to Vancouver BC and back last weekend. It was very noticeable when I was in cruise control going downhill. The engine revved very high, and the vehicle kept getting faster, despite the...
Probably something I will look into next spring. We got 6" of snow Friday night, I'm not going to attempt anything that requires an adhesive to stick to something else.
Winter is coming
