I am not arguing that. I was responding to the ridiculous notion that Europeans don't drive long distances. I would argue that the average European drives as far, if not further than the average US American for their vacation travel.
My brother has a commute of an hour (one-way), although...
Since you seem to believe in anecdotal evidence, I will give you anecdotal evidence:
We've owned our Kia Niro EV since April 2022. No problem with it ever. It went down to -22F in January, remained miserably cold for two weeks.
Last year it was cold and snowy for almost three months. The...
What is your "WHY???" about?
I would like to have more than 3 flashes because it takes longer than 3 to change lanes, especially if you're doing it right:
1. check mirrors
2. look over your shoulder (if necessary)
3. turn on indicator
4. repeat steps 1 and 2
5. start changing lanes
I moved to eastern Washington state from central TX (Killeen area) in 2018. I drove our F-150 towing a 14-foot fully loaded trailer and my son followed in his little car. We had a combined three cats in crates in our vehicles that did not like to travel.
We took our time, driving no more than...
I had my dealer look at it, but of course they couldn't recreate the problem. It does seem to be worse when it's wet, but I have yet to manage ordering rain on demand.
We've got about 4" since Friday. It's been a very warm AND very cold winter here in Spokane county. Definitely haven't gotten enough snow, but we've gotten quite a bit of rain. Not sure if that will be sufficient come summer, though.
I do believe you can. I remember seeing a thread where somebody said that while the knobs had the temperature display on them, because the car doesn't come with dual climate control, using the Escape hardware wasn't going to add it.
You cannot simply convert a gas engine to ethanol or E85. You would have to replace all the gaskets, fuel pump, fuel injectors, and the fuel lines, it would require reprogramming of the fuel injection system, and who knows what else. On top of that, ethanol is 30% less efficient than gasoline...
Interesting tidbit: I do believe that in the US it is still illegal to have high beams and low beams on at the same time. Read that in an article that discussed how in Europe a lot of cars have headlights that have adaptive high beams. Not sure if the same also applies to high beams and fog...
DD has an installation video on their site. The whole thing is supposed to come off. You will need to be able to reach some areas on the vehicle behind the fascia for the wiring, much easier to do with it off.
Not sure if your know this, but we fund weird things all the time. Did you know that the price for a lot of agricultural products (think wheat, corn, soy, etc) is not set by the producers of said products, but by the buyers? Farmer Joe has to go to the government and request a subsidy because...
I own an EV and we have a level 2 charger at home. We installed a 50A 240 V outlet to plug in the 40A charger. There is no issue with our ability to charge and we only have a 200A panel in the house.
One thing a lot of people don't understand is that fast charging at high Amperage is worse...
I've driven my Mav for a little over 5,000 miles so far. I don't drive slow, I accelerate quickly from traffic lights, and I live 15 miles outside of town. Except for the couple of weeks in January when we had sub-zero temps I got 40 mpgs.
An EV will pollute less than an ICE car, even when the electricity is produced by a coal fired plant*. That is a fact, not an opinion.
The reason behind this is because an ICE car is using only about 30% of the embodied energy of gasoline to actually propel the vehicle. The rest of the...
I think my answer is obvious
We already own an EV, we replaced my husband's Golf GTI with the Maverick.
While I doubt that the price will be significantly below $30K, it will be worth replacing my hybrid Maverick with an BEV version.
I already know that all the fear mongering about rising...
Actually that's exactly what you can do. Or you can take the documentation from your court case to your county auditor and file a lien on their property. If they don't own a house, you can file a lien on their vehicle title.
