  1. How to remove four pin trailer plug? (Resolved & Final Results)

Thank you for the reply. Yeah, in my case I need to remove it because I'm going to slightly relocate it for better esthetics. I COULD do it the "usual" way, but have something different in my head that I want to try.
  2. How to remove four pin trailer plug? (Resolved & Final Results)

I feel pretty dumb asking this question because I usually have no trouble looking at things and easily figuring out how they work, but here goes: How do you get the four pin plug off the metal frame by the hitch receiver? I'm adding one of the Ford Parts bumper fill in plate things that's been...
  3. Storage Drawer w/ Magnet for dash cubby

Yeah, I ended up w/ this one; Mabett & Amazon. I got it for the co-pilot to hang her phone on while we're traveling. She was dubious at first but she likes it now and uses it almost every time she's riding along. (Now I've gotta find the chicken nugget dip holder attachment for the FITS slot.)
  4. New Owner! 2026 XLT Hybrid. Road trip tips?

Sounds to me like you've made a good start. We took our hybrid from Ohio to the Mississippi Gulf Coast from early December through February, full packed w/ two adults, two large dogs, and the bed completely full of our "stuff" and it never missed a beat (of course that's what I'd expect from a...
  5. Ohio Roll Call

Afraid really high humidity would cure me of that real quick! Yeah, I would too. Ohio ain't home and while I don't hate it, I'm not very attached either. Through 20 years in the USAF I lived all over and have visited lots n lots of places; pretty much everywhere in the US. Where I grew up...
  6. Ohio Roll Call

Ohio always gets revenge, though. EVERY time we've gone south there has been ONE more snow fall after we return, no matter when we return. I'm planning to bag February AND March returns and start thinking April... though this year I'm thinking I coulda' stayed till July...
  7. Ohio Roll Call

:D:crackup: Sorry, can't tell ya... we go south to the Gulf Coast for the winter!
  8. 【Mabett Giveaway】Anyone else already adjusting their Maverick setup for the heat?🎁

Here in the Mid-West hot weather also means potential bad weather. Right where I am, historically, tornadoes aren't common, though one went through town, literally a block from here 😢 two and a half years ago. Though tornadoes aren't common, the accompanying heavy rain and hail is seen fairly...
  9. Mice in my Air Box

Yep, the hardware cloth should be good and the peppermint oil sprayed around will do the trick as well. I had a GMC Canyon 5cyl, 4X4 for several years. One day the thing went into "limp home mode" and I barely got it back to the house. I hunted all over and found the air filter box was nearly...
  10. 🙋‍♂️ What did you do TO / WITH your Maverick today?

I picked up the Mav today after having a full professional ceramic coat done. The guy did the full surface prep and multiple coat ceramic coating and also did the most comprehensive and complete interior detailing I've ever had done on a vehicle. It looks great! Now I hope it'll be easier to...
  11. 12v bed accessories idea

Yes sir! I got it on ETSY and here's the link: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1835763410/usb-charger-kit-for-ford-maverick?ref=yr_purchases I don't use it a whole bunch, but so far it has held up well and is there when I need it. I feel it was a nice, worthwhile addition.
  12. Installed A Trickle Charger - '24 Lariat Hybrid (Not intended as a "bash Ford Policies discussion starter.)

Sorry, I have no idea what it's called. The thing is, in my opinion sort of an odd design; it's a cover that made to be moved aside so you can clip on a jumper cable but it's almost impossible to move it without breaking it!
  13. Installed A Trickle Charger - '24 Lariat Hybrid (Not intended as a "bash Ford Policies discussion starter.)

Thank you very much for the informative reply. Yes, it's very frustrating. I'm retired now so there isn't a daily commute, and short local, daily drives aren't going to keep things happy. I've taken on the habit of just keeping both hybreds on the battery tender pretty much all the time...
  14. Installed A Trickle Charger - '24 Lariat Hybrid (Not intended as a "bash Ford Policies discussion starter.)

Thank you for your response. Yeah, the deep sleep issue... Even though the '20 Escape Titanium was on the battery float the entire time we were gone and started right up and has worked perfectly since our return, I noted that a very short time after we had been away I got the deep sleep message...
  15. Installed A Trickle Charger - '24 Lariat Hybrid (Not intended as a "bash Ford Policies discussion starter.)

This is an older post now but I started it so I guess I'll add a couple observations to the discussion and comments. (Most likely it's all been covered on here ad nauseam) First off, I may be wrong but I believe I read on here somewhere that the factory setting in the computer is to have the...

    I put in this:
  17. A 1+ year report

A couple of pix: The seating arrangement for the dogs. It works very well for them. And a not very good pix of where we're spending the winter:
  18. A 1+ year report

Yeah, I've owned several white vehicles and agree, they look less dirty far longer. As for pix, yeah I'll get some up. Thanx! we've been wintering on the gulf cost for a while. We missed a couple years for Covid and a couple more for medical issues, but we've really come to enjoy the...
  19. A 1+ year report

I haven't posted here in a while but thought I'd throw out come comments after owning the thing for just over a year. As a quick rehash: When the 5th wheel camper and the 2500HD truck went bye bye we wanted a truck but didn't want or need anything nearly as big as the 3/4 ton GMC. We really...

    Maverick Old Farts

I'll admit that I've kept the XM subscription up. I like it, especially The Beatles Channel... yeah, I know, it shows my age. Stand your ground w/ XM when it comes time to renew and eventually you can talk them down to a reasonable rate.
