Why are people so willing to settle for cheap junk instead of spending an hour making a good, permanent solution?
I've installed a homelink in the upper console which is only powered when the car is turned on because the chamberlain remotes are cheap rattly plastic and easily stolen or lost...
I've got a few things on the list but I think new tweeters in the dash is next. The aftermarket ones I used have a reputation for being a bit shrill and yup, they are.
OP, well done on the truck, Space White is gorgeous in person.
Yup, Stainless stains less but it can rust, or have metallic particulate stuck or embedded into it which will also rust.
I thought we learned that stainless cars are pretty dumb with the Deloreans but I guess Musk didn't pay...
Honestly, go test drive other cars before losing your butt on trading for a lariat (which has the same damn seats) if the shape and size of the seat is the problem, which it sounds like, then the same seat with a different skin ain't gonna help.
Nah, hard pass for me.
I don't need my tail lights to dance and do the funky chicken, I need them to light up bright and RED
Amber is for turn signals/4-ways.
They really ought to be metal, or much thicker plastic that won't warp. That area of the truck sees a lot of temperature variations even just on a drive, let alone over months of use.
After having had a car broken into and the glove box pried open with a crowbar I'm fine without a locking glove box.
They destroyed a mint condition, near unobtainable dashboard (and glovebox door) to steal a $10 pair of sunglasses and $20 in emergency gas money. $1400 in parts whereas if it...
Thanks for sharing, this explains a lot of why B&O (and a few other brands) feel like they're in a race to the gutter.
Shame on them for trying to maintain the brand following while throwing quality and performance by the wayside.
If spectators are welcome I'll try to make it out some time, unfortunately I don't have my Fiesta ST any more or I'd love to do some laps in the lil buggy.
I haven't been out to Stratotech in ages, I honestly thought it was being sold for redevelopment but I'm glad to see that didn't happen.
You're putting in some great work with all this testing, logging and detailing changes!
Ick, if it looks like that red artists rendition they can keep it, hideous.
I don't think that many people cross-shop toyota and ford, especially in trucks and with toyota's high pricing and high markups as long as ford can hold the pricing down I think they'll be fine.
"Hey bud, I've got a tape measure right here, let's go check out that 8' bed of yours."
If he does have one then you can make fun of it on it's own merits, if it's not an 8' bed then measure it and start making fun of him "coming up short" or some such.
Find a seat from a Focus, Fiesta, Fusion, Escape or Bronco sport that's comfortable and the odds are it'll probably bolt in.
It's been proven that Focus ST seats fit and they're wonderfully comfortable and Fiesta ST seats should also work, since they fit the Focus.
Fusion and Escape seats may...
I just got home from a road trip, mostly highway with about 145km of city driving.
723km on the tank at 7.6L/100km which works out to 30.94mpg.
I probably could have pushed to get the last 80km to make it an 800km tank which is just about bang on 500 miles but after two days out and about I...
My truck got hit by a huge storm last year, ruined the hood, roof, drivers front fender and hundreds of dents. Insurance covered the whole repair but it was over $20,000 Canadian to put the truck back to right.
If I was paying out of pocket I'd have probably just replaced the hood with one...
