There is a post very early in this thread saying, "33 MPG is not efficient." On my 2024 Lariat I have averaged 38.4 MPG in the last 1.5 years. The truck has 20,000 miles. Approximately 6,000 miles has been highway miles. I do not drive lightly on the highway and it reflects in the gas mileage...
Just make an adapter out of 1/4 inch plywood. Using some paper or thin cardboard trace out the door side of the adapter. Then trace out the speaker inside the door adapter. Cut out paper template and draw it on the plywood. Cut, drill the screw holes sand and you are done.
I agree, you lose sound replacing the existing B&O subwoofer with just a larger subwoofer, like the HS8 or HS10. Since the rear of the Maverick does not have bass providing door speakers there is a need to add bass to the system. Just relying on the front door speakers just does not do it for...
These are the correct Gorilla black lug nuts:
The reason ebay says, "does not fit" is because this ebay vendor only lists the Maverick 2.0 engine and not the Hybrid engine. See this screen shot.
I have these lug nuts for over a year and they are great. When making the swap, be prepared to...
Here is what I came up with:
It would rattle on the sun visor. I use the cubby hole for the FOB. My truck does not have a sunglasses holder.
It is made out of a piece of thin sheet metal. Dimensions in metric because the cut size came on the line. Width and length of ice cream bar stick...
I have no direct experience with this installation. However, if you can get these speakers for song you could probably make them work with an aftermarket mounting bracket. Below is a Crutchfield screenshot for a different Kicker 6.5 model. Or you can make a mounting bracket out of wood.
Good luck
Swapping out the OEM subwoofer with a new subwoofer and an additional amp is a great upgrade. Please look at Part 4 and Part 5.
You need to add an amp to drive an aftermarket subwoofer. You do not need to change out the OEM amp. You need to connect the subwoofer output of the OEM B&O amp to...
The Standard and B&O sound systems have different speaker connectivity. Below is the Standard system and the tweeters are driven off the door speakers. The crossover should be used for this application.
Here is the B&O schematic. The tweeter is driven directly from the DSP. Since the center...
I did not use the Infinity supplied tweeter crossover because I assume the OEM sound system knows those outputs are for the tweeters and would already have a hi pass filter in place. Now if the vehicle does not have OEM tweeters I would definitively use the crossovers. I saw a video where...

What I have doing for years is set the volume to your typical driving level. Go to the tone controls and set the treble, midrange and bass to their lowest level. Play a favorite song, Next raise the bass level to you taste, next the midrange and lastly the treble. I usually tweak the midrange...
There were a few reasons
HS10 specs:
- frequency response: 25-120 Hz
- variable low-pass crossover (50-120 Hz)
KICKER 48CWRT672 specs
- 30 Hz to 500 Hz
KICKER 46CXA4001T CXA400 amp
- Electronic Crossover Variable Lo-pass 50Hz–200Hz, 12dB/octave
My set up provides 150 watts of power, RMS...
From Part 1:
"Conclusion:
The system sounds great. What I thought was a VERY GOOD OEM sound system has been upgraded. The system has improved clarity with uniform and deep bass which emanates from all areas, front and back. The Surround Mode is drastically improved by setting a moderate bias...
These are prices that were paid. Purchased during Christmas holiday. It appears some items are more expensive now. If I were purchasing the center speaker, I would use the the less expensive, Infinity Reference 3032cfx 3.5" round speaker ($65/pair). It should install without any major...
