Heads up *NOT SPONSORED*:
Hastings Ford is selling their Demo Ecoboost XLT AWD Maverick in Gray if anyone is interested.
I would jump on it but I decided to wait for a Hybrid.
I worked with Mike Wangen to check it out, nice guy, nice truck. I wanted to see if I would even fit it one and was...
Since everyone is so opinionated on green 😂
Haters going to hate.....Here is my render of Eruption Green on the Mav. I've seen others but I wanted to show how in the "bright sun" some yellow comes through.
I searched and didn't happen to see a thread for this stuff.
For all of us in the camp of 2022 orders pushed back to '23 or anyone newly looking at a 2023.
(POST all the 2023 Mav. intel, spy shots, and info in this thread)
Maybe new colors?
Bigger touchscreen?
Fixes?
Package changes...
I just thought of this last night.
Had my other car plugged into OBII reader and the catalytic temp was at 1200deg F. It think I had previously seen it at 1400. Quick google said normal is 1200-1600 operating.
Curious if the vehicle has built-in safe "limp mode" since the cat is obviously...
LOOK WHAT SANTA CRUZ HAS!
…standard horrible gas mileage…
I may have considered but no thanks plus watch, they add a hybrid and it’s 10k more expensive 🤣
I love my Kwik Trip 64oz mug and its quirky play on octane ratings....I sure hope it Ford FITS.....
....See also it has a disclaimer on the side that says "⚠️ This mug is for beverages, not gasoline. Do not drink gasoline. Gasoline is for cars, and you are a person" :ROFLMAO:
Here is another one, this guy on here? haha
Since I bought the truck about a month ago, it always does this weird engine revving sound while idling on cold days. Temp was -2 (f) during this video. I popped the hood after letting it run for about 10 min, and did not see the catalytic converter...
Anyone see any rumblings on any ESCAPE HYBRID forums?
I find it kind of crazy they've had 2 years of testing in the Escape in cold climate etc. and this issue pops up in the Mavs drivetrain. Something seems funky, did they adjust the software since its more "truck-like"?
Also it seem weird to me to remote start a hybrid. I guess I have it easy to park in a garage "non-heated" but I feel like I will just get it when its cold, the ICE engine will start up and off I go on electric power etc.....
QUOTE from Vicious007:
"It has nothing to do with remote start, really. It will happen in cold weather if the vehicle is parked and trying to heat up cab. So if you like your windows defrosted, you're doomed."
Sounds like a defrost or MAX heat issue, keep us posted.
