Another thing to consider, is if you install a keypad after purchase, it runs on an internal battery while the factory keypad uses the truck battery (correct me if I'm wrong on this)
So with the keypad installed after purchase, you run a higher risk of the battery dying.
To get roadside assistance to my location would have cost about same as Ubering the key. Then RA would still need to get in. How hard is that on Mav? My old 150 it’s can of corn.
Yea. As I posted, my buddy drove to where there was cell service and I called using his phone.
Definitely going Old School and getting the magnetic box
The keypad is great when it works. My kids can go out to the truck and get stuff without needing key, I (used) to be able to lock my key in there when going on the water. Very handy.
Will keep using it on my F150 but until I figure out how or why it failed and its ties to intelligent access...
Thats what I thought but the keypad would not work until I reset Intelligent Access. Somehow it must be tied together. Too much of a coincidence both would go.
Sure, Its worked fine for over a year but failed when I was up north, duck hunting. There is no cell service and my phone was in truck. I Ubered a key 200 plus miles. Used my buddy's phone after driving to get cell service
My mistake for trusting the keypad but my F150 without intelligent...
So I rarely do this, just occasionally when duck hunting and it's best not to have a fob in my pocket. Have never had a problem on my f150 but I did this on the Mav Lariat and the factory Keypad would simply not work at all. Finally had to call my son to Uber a key up. After getting in, I...
Found the funnel; glovebox, under the Owners Manual.
I get that it’s not hard to use but Why did they have to make something simple one step harder. What’s the benefit
Probably a dumb question but what’s the trick? All my other vehicles are older and you just open the gas cap and pour. Easy. This truck, I spill gas everywhere cause of the flaps.
Yes but what about the truck graphic on the screen when backing. That is separate from park assist I believe. It acts independently of the green yellow and red bars when reversing
Ford tech messed up a bunch of things doing airbag recall.
I have no sound in rear park assist however the green yellow red bars are working. They are ordering a module for “Pre Collision Alert” which I thought was the alerts you get when backing up or going forward if it senses a car. So the...
