  1. Why You Should Never Lock Key in Truck And Rely On Keypad for Entry

Another thing to consider, is if you install a keypad after purchase, it runs on an internal battery while the factory keypad uses the truck battery (correct me if I'm wrong on this) So with the keypad installed after purchase, you run a higher risk of the battery dying.
  2. Why You Should Never Lock Key in Truck And Rely On Keypad for Entry

To get roadside assistance to my location would have cost about same as Ubering the key. Then RA would still need to get in. How hard is that on Mav? My old 150 it’s can of corn.
  3. Why You Should Never Lock Key in Truck And Rely On Keypad for Entry

Yea. As I posted, my buddy drove to where there was cell service and I called using his phone. Definitely going Old School and getting the magnetic box
  4. Why You Should Never Lock Key in Truck And Rely On Keypad for Entry

The keypad is great when it works. My kids can go out to the truck and get stuff without needing key, I (used) to be able to lock my key in there when going on the water. Very handy. Will keep using it on my F150 but until I figure out how or why it failed and its ties to intelligent access...
  5. Why You Should Never Lock Key in Truck And Rely On Keypad for Entry

Thats what I thought but the keypad would not work until I reset Intelligent Access. Somehow it must be tied together. Too much of a coincidence both would go.
  6. Why You Should Never Lock Key in Truck And Rely On Keypad for Entry

Sure, Its worked fine for over a year but failed when I was up north, duck hunting. There is no cell service and my phone was in truck. I Ubered a key 200 plus miles. Used my buddy's phone after driving to get cell service My mistake for trusting the keypad but my F150 without intelligent...
  7. Why You Should Never Lock Key in Truck And Rely On Keypad for Entry

So I rarely do this, just occasionally when duck hunting and it's best not to have a fob in my pocket. Have never had a problem on my f150 but I did this on the Mav Lariat and the factory Keypad would simply not work at all. Finally had to call my son to Uber a key up. After getting in, I...
  8. Adding gas with gas can

I ended up just cutting out the flap as suggested. I use the cans from my landscaping business a lot over the summer and this makes it frictionless.
  9. Adding gas with gas can

Ok so the benefit is it’s one step easier st the gas station. Guess I never saw this as something that needed simplification
  10. Adding gas with gas can

Found the funnel; glovebox, under the Owners Manual. I get that it’s not hard to use but Why did they have to make something simple one step harder. What’s the benefit
  11. Adding gas with gas can

What’s an Owners Manual ? where would they have stashed the funnel ? and why complicate filling the tank with those stupid flaps
  12. Adding gas with gas can

Probably a dumb question but what’s the trick? All my other vehicles are older and you just open the gas cap and pour. Easy. This truck, I spill gas everywhere cause of the flaps.
  13. Is Pre Collision Alert the Same as Rear Park Assist

Yea. They told me pre collision alert module but it’s pic 1 that’s not working plus no beeps
  14. Is Pre Collision Alert the Same as Rear Park Assist

Talking about pic 1. isn’t that a different feature than pic 2 pic 1 pre collision Pic 2 back up assist ?
  15. Is Pre Collision Alert the Same as Rear Park Assist

Yes but what about the truck graphic on the screen when backing. That is separate from park assist I believe. It acts independently of the green yellow and red bars when reversing
  16. Is Pre Collision Alert the Same as Rear Park Assist

Ford tech messed up a bunch of things doing airbag recall. I have no sound in rear park assist however the green yellow red bars are working. They are ordering a module for “Pre Collision Alert” which I thought was the alerts you get when backing up or going forward if it senses a car. So the...
  17. Airbag Recall - Nightmare or just fine ?

Took 3 days to get the parts. Problem was they had no clue what to do with them.
  18. Airbag Recall - Nightmare or just fine ?

Don’t do it. All kinds of problems since they did this recall. Collision alert now doesn’t work or auto start stop. been in twice going in again
  19. Takes Ford 1/2 day to put on a Sticker

Rude too. I was in today for the airbag recall fiasco and they tell me they'll only give me the sticker if they install it.
  20. WeatherTech Mats vs. Ford Maverick Mats Comparison Review -- Conclusion: Go with WT

Yea. The I see the WT for the Mav don’t have the lip that goes over the door sill either. Guess the floor is too low for this design feature.
