After receiving my letter from Ford indicating airbag replacement parts were available, I phoned my dealer to schedule the Job.
Scheduled the earliest appointment ... two weeks out.
Fine.
But I was informed to expect that the service would likely take more than a day, as the parts would not...
Sure thing. My hope is that this particular tent, presumably designed specifically for the Maverick, avoids any "fit" issues associated with other, oversized options. We'll see.
Well, for the total of ~$123, (with the 40% off coupon, and including tax and shipping here to the Northwest) I ordered one as well. BTW: $279 on the Ford site ....
I drove my '99 Ranger XLT extended cab, 4-cylinder, RWD manual for 22 years, (longest held of many vehicles & a couple of bikes) before replacing it with the Maverick Hybrid. Despite a few of the youth oriented sales pitches I've seen, I think Ford knew they had a buyer in me ... and not much...
Congratulations on your new Hybrid! I'll keep an eye out for you!
We ordered in July '21 and on May 14, 2022, we received our Hybrid from Harris Ford in Lynwood, too. MSRP promised and delivered as well.
Hope you enjoy yours as much as we do!
Brad, this update is very much appreciated. My airbag recall work is happening today. I will share this with the service department folks and hope for a better resolution of my continuing deep sleep issues! Thanks for the heads up!
Nope. Watched all the reviews available at the time. Knew it had to be an improvement over the '99 Ranger I had been driving for the previous 20 years.
Yes. The Deep Sleep messages continue for me as well ... the difference being (presumably, after the two week dealership software update?) they seem to be limited to one message per use cycle ... rather than a barrage of messages after each use cycle. Does this suggest that the fix was to...
Your post reminds me of my first trip to the recycle center in my Maverick Hybrid too, ... missed the turn, so hung a U-ie, didn't quite make it, got a little shot of adrenaline when I realized I was in the middle of the road with no muscle memory as to where reverse was!
Nothing wrong with a Focus, but the idea that any of these are "trucks" is ridiculous.
hummm ... certainly my XLT Hybrid is an improvement over my 1999 Ranger XLT, which I referred to as a "City Truck" ... so I'll call my Maverick a City Truck, too ... with your gracious permission, of course!
