I hope so. The plastic trim will probably hold up fine in the short term, but I can't imagine what it will look like in a decade or so or under heavy use. I get the heeby geebys every time one of those Chevy Avalanches drives by with that huge plastic pillar, sun bleached beyond recognition...
This is good to know, thanks. I did order a Lariat, but if the engine sounds anything like my escape hybrid; I get looks of horror when that thing kicks on
Any update? Any reason why you could not mount directly to the rails? I think there is an opportunity for someone to develop an aftermarket trim piece that has more support by engaging more closely to the frame or using a more hardy material.
But what weight is the trim bearing or is it even designed to? I wonder what load capacity is of the plastic trim, I know there's toppers and shells for it, but how far is that pushing the trim weight capacity wise...
Looking at the frame, it seems to be a near 90 degree angle, so why is the plastic trim curved? It has an effect on designing toppers and and bed racks. Anyone engineers in here??
Agreed. You are 2 feet away from eachother. It would need to be an extreme situation to where it is pracitcal for one seat to blast 80 degrees and the other to blast 60 degrees. ..
I am thinking that is what the case is...unfortunately (I ordered a Lariat). It seems the dual climate setting replaces the recirc button which comes with LARIAT and LOBO only. I am hoping it can be swapped in Forscan, since it is just a software function.
I think you're right. I thought XLT LUX also had dual climate controls and I am seeing that XLT LUX does have the recirc button. I love that little truck icon for recirc and constantly switch external vs recirc where I am. Hoping forscan can change that option
Can you post a picture of you ir center screen here please?
