  3. Installed my DIY bed side rails today.

That's what I had before the rails. It should be fine for light duty loads
  4. Trip review: Maverick AWD vs. 6” of snow on commute

I really can't say, as I put them on quickly and when I picked up my truck in November, it started to turn cold, which hurts the MPGs. I will say I'm averaging 40mpg (actual, not computer) My commute is mostly 2 lane roads with some sections 25 to 35mph speed limit.
  5. Trip review: Maverick AWD vs. 6” of snow on commute

My hybrid did exceptional yesterday here in the deepish Michigan snow. My driveway is steep and it went right up it (wife got stuck). I have always used two sets of wheels (one set with winter tires) but I'm getting sick of changing wheels so I bought Michelin CrossClimate 2 tires and they are...
  6. Installed my DIY bed side rails today.

There is a bunch of ice on my tonneau cover right now, so I cant really roll it up. The rails didn't come with any holes, I had to put the holes for the 4 screws per rail myself. I used flat head bolts and also countersunk the holes so they would be flush.

I did this with L track, as I like the look of it.
  8. 📜 Updated Commodity Constraints List as of 1/23/23

  9. 📜 Updated Commodity Constraints List as of 1/23/23

So, unless I missed it, there doesn't seem to be any mention of the XL trim level being a constraint? Is this no longer the case? I have a 2023 XL hybrid on order.
  10. Installed my DIY bed side rails today.

Using information from Barracuda340 , I finally got my rails installed. Using undrilled L-track from https://www.cargoequipmentcorp.com , tie downs from Amazon, and flat head 6mm and 8mm bolts from my local hardware store, I cut the tracks to length and drilled and countersunk the holes for the...

  13. Clay bar and Turtle Wax graphene flex wax results

I've been owning vehicles for 40 years, but I'm a newbie when it comes to the ceramic and clay stuff. I wanted to start with something that was DIY freindly fully realizing that it wouldn't be as good as a true ceramic.
  14. Let's talk numbers. Hybrid vs Ecoboost $$,$$$

When I placed my order for my 2022, the hybrid was cheaper and it gets better mileage. It' that simple and a no-brainer for me, since I do not need to tow and FWD is fine for where I am in Michigan if you have good tires.
  15. Tired of People Bashing Ford over Delays

Bashing over supply chain issues is one thing, but what irritated me was the lack of communication. Mass emails cost Ford nothing. The least they could do is send out a weekly, or bi-weekly email to those who are waiting letting them know where they stand, if not in a personal way, at least in a...

  17. Is the truck always watching? Weird noises in the garage a day after parking

I have a hybrid and it makes a lot of clicking sounds randomly. I think it may be a transformer and I fully expect to turn around and see it standing upright at some point. :)
