  1. Maverick maintenance, 5000 miles PTU/RDU

FYI - If you're Canadian you won't find the ability to update the service history via the app OR ford.ca. However, if you log in to ford.com, you can update the records and it then pulls across to your service history @ ford.ca and the app.
  2. Snow plugged cabin air filter

Service Manager at the Dealer (Whitehorse Motors) went the extra mile on this. Everything is as it should be, but "the gap around that baffle is massive, we're going to see lots more of these" Effectively it's a design flaw - I suspect the reason more folks aren't seeing this is because we've...
  3. Snow plugged cabin air filter

I suspect it is snow that's suspended in air and then gets sucked into the filter, whereas water would pool and flow away? No idea at this point. I'll update you on what they find today.
  4. Snow plugged cabin air filter

doesn't get wet when washing. Not had rain yet...
  5. Snow plugged cabin air filter

yeah, def snow. Recognisable snow crystals rather than ice.
  6. Snow plugged cabin air filter

I know. But it fills with snow everytime I drive it! Don’t really want to go through 5 air filters a week…
  7. Snow plugged cabin air filter

Quick update on this - heading back to dealer for round 3! Round 1 - Dealer couldn't find anything Round 2 - Senior tech looked, removed cowling, everything normal, advised to use recirc HVAC when it snows (not possible as the system auto switches after 2 minutes because it senses there's too...
  8. 25 Maverick Hybrid temporarily dead when very cold

Don't have book values but mine has worked fine at -40. Braking is VERY weird at these temps, which I suspect is no regen, as the battery is too cold to charge? Also 0 electric running (same reason I suspect)
  9. 25 Maverick Hybrid temporarily dead when very cold

It was -20 for over a month here. -40 for a few days. I used the Mav every 3 days or so. Only ever short trips. I've had no issues. Block heater but no battery blanket or charger. the 12v seems to consistently test at 11.7v, so I'm going to the dealer to get that checked. I'd second having a...
  10. Snow plugged cabin air filter

Update - removed and dried filter and replaced. Brushed snow off cowl area. Drove 3km to work, HVAC got weak 1/2 way, no aiflow by the time I reached work. Popped cabin filter - Left a message with service department, opened a case with Ford Canada. Truck is undriveable for a month until they...
  11. Snow plugged cabin air filter

and risk the dreaded deep sleep??? :cwl:
  12. Snow plugged cabin air filter

those are snow crystals, last exposure to water would have been in October!
  13. Snow plugged cabin air filter

4000km on my 2025 Hybrid XL AWD. During our cold snap (-30/-45) my HVAC started making a rattling noise and cabin airflow was low (windows wouldn't defrost, minimal air from vents.) It warmed up to -25 today so I decided to investigate. Pulled the cabin air filter and it looks like this...
  14. PTU Fluid Change - 2025 Hybrid AWD

What Cherokee said. Do it yourself. 5 mins to find the procedure in the forum. 1 quart of fluid needed. 8mm allen on a LOOOOONG extension. fluid pump. It's a 30min job, do it at next oil change.
  15. Maverick use in off road conditions

Came to the AWD Hybrid XL Maverick from a Pro4x Frontier ^ and had the same concerns. The Mav will never be close to the Frontier off road, but I agree with the other posters - it'll be fine for what almost anyone is going to use it for. I'm not 'wheelin' in the Mav. Rock crawling and deep mud...
  16. PTU & RDU fluid change on 2025 hybrid AWD @ 11,000 miles

Vent relocation would be interesting. Where is it stock? I came from a Nissan Frontier and it’s very common to move the Dana M226 vent from the axle to behind the lights, as immersion of the rear axle basically guarantees water entering the diff. I won’t be using the mav in quite the same way as...
  17. PTU & RDU fluid change on 2025 hybrid AWD @ 11,000 miles

Either we should both be worried or neither of us should, cos that was my experience too!
  18. PTU & RDU fluid change on 2025 hybrid AWD @ 11,000 miles

Interesting. I did mine at 2000 km and neither took more than a quart. And yes, that one fluid is spendy! But for the diy folks the labour on the rdu is waaaay quicker. Accessing the fill plug on the ptu is a pain in the ass.
  19. Can I drive my brand new hybrid 400 miles home?

I just drove mine back from the dealer (1700 miles) and went down a rabbit hole of research before! Vary speed and throttle input (I found driving one song at one speed and switching speeds when the next one came on worked well!) plan a few stops and if possible . In Europe you’re way better...
  20. Current order timeline

Mine arrived yesterday Hope we all get to enjoy our trucks soon!
