I haven't noticed any rattle. I just went out and checked if the flares are loose at any point. Couldn't find a loose spot. I've had them on the truck for about 3 months.

I have them on my 23 Lariat Lux and they fit fine and look great. Not sure why the naysayers are having problems. Not only are they cheaper but they look, in my opinion, much better than the bulbus other flares. I recommend them.

On a related issue: In the Mythbusters episode "Tailgate up or down for better gas mileage", Jamie and Adam test the fuel efficiency of driving with the tailgate up or down while driving on a straight road at 55 mph. They find that driving with the tailgate down increases drag and is less fuel...

I suppose you could just push the start button without putting your foot on the brake to turn the truck on without starting it.

OP, I think I found your problem.

My problem is, I don't drive the truck that much. So the battery conservation mode kicks in and the FordPass app is useless. I needed an alternate way of remote starting the Mav. I remote start my Mach E with the FordPass all the time.

I have the same Lariat fob. I think you lock and unlock the vehicle with a series of pushes on the lock and unlock buttons. I saw that somewhere, I'll try and find it again.
