I think this site is kind of deceptive, and it's also not correct. I punched in a 2023 Mav VIN I found in a public post on this site to try it out.
All that it appears to do with your VIN is figure out the manufacturer of the Vehicle and then do some kind of 'analysis' on the manufacturers...
I'm curious why you think the Sync 3 Nav system is better than the available Cell Phone apps, like Apple Maps, Google Maps, or Waze.
I have the Nav in my Maverick and have used the similar Nav system in my parent's Corsair and I find it to be inferior in almost all ways to the Cell Phone...
@chilicoke - that looks awesome! I have all the parts, just wondering which pins you grabbed... Looks like you wired both power pins on the mirror to the same pin?
I think mine only updated once after shipping - to say it was at the dealer.
I didn't mess around trying to track the railcar because I found my VIN in the United Road system (which is who my dealer uses to deliver vehicles from the railyard to the dealership).
You can try putting your VIN...
A bit slow. My dealer is in Nashua NH; my Truck was built on March 26th and Ford estimated it would be at the dealer by May 2nd. It was at the railyard in MA somewhere around April 14th and was delivered to the dealer on April 19th.
I don't know anything about Permaplate, but seems like a lot of people aren't too thrilled with them:

Nice article in Slate about this the other day saying the same thing: People like buttons, and the manufacturers are starting to notice:

I don't have the Hybrid, and don't know anything in particular about the Ford TCU implementation, but I am familiar with 'internet connected stuff' like the TCU and this definitely sounds like it could be a cause of problems like this. The TCU has a cell modem in and it and that may be staying...
Same here, I ordered my Mav from Best Ford in Nashua and just took delivery today. My father is a Ford 'retiree' so we got to use the Z plan - no issues at all, and then even reduced their admin fee because it was AZX plan deal.
Maybe you can post a picture of this certificate (black out any personal info)?
I ordered my truck in September 2022, I didn't get any 'owners direct certificae'. I *did* get an email from Ford acknowledging my order and then periodic follow ups, which culminated in a 'your truck has been...
That file would be used with a OBD scanner program tool like Forscan or similar. Ford provides that data for third party repair shops to use to work on your vehicle.
Woohoo!
You can enter the VIN in this site: https://www.motorcraftservice.com/asbuilt
If you see a bunch of numbers (address and Instructions) in the BCE Modules section, it means your new ride is 'alive'!
I had a similar experience to others in this thread...
On January 26th, I got a 'Your vehicle has been scheduled for production' email with a production week of 3/27.
On February 7th, I got a "The production date for your vehicle has changed" email with a week of 3/20.
Meanwhile, the tracker...
