I really like the Maverick and it's mileage ability, copilot, cruise control, etc., but I am really bombed about having to read what to expect from getting in, sitting down, starting the truck and driving like I would normally do. If I have to take a class on what to expect from the technology...
I have one of those postcards for $750 off. It was copied and put in my file for when the truck does come in. Might get some problem from it, but I don't see why I would, but then you know,,,,,,
It is hard to believe you got $1500 off for being a veteran. Maybe it is just your dealer, but the dealers I have had did not offer this unless I was active. Times change I guess.
I may not understand all of this, but to my thinking, doing several chores to keep a battery in good condition is not the understanding of buying a new vehicle in the first place. In all my years of buying new vehicles, I have never had a problem with anything close to this and should not be now.
But then, people are buying the EG color maverick because of the way it looks. But with ugly black, no pizazz to them, you bought that truck because it looks good. The same with tires. Just me, but white lettered tires look better than black plain tires.
Economy has little to do with all people. Some people have no problem spending the way they want on things they don't actually need, but when they do, they help the economy.
I see my truck in route to my dealer and see pics of it sideways, all ways around it. Tires are as ugly as coyote ugly. I cannot wait to put new tires with some lettering on the sidewalls. It just might spruce it up slightly. Even at the cost of new tires, it is better than just being ugly.
Not from what I have seen and heard here on this forum. The dealer that has my truck coming to them only has two coming in and had 4 24"s on the lot two weeks ago, they have none now.
If you walk away, they win. They make more than the markup and you get nothing. It all comes down to, what is the markup, how much, why, and deal with it.
No different than voting. People, as you say, vote in the same ones year after year. I guess you are smarter than all of us and not near as disciplined. Your comments are offensive,.
If you average over 28 mpg (in a truck), no matter the size, you are a winner. Imagine 10 years ago, getting an average mpg (in a truck) got less than 22 mpg. What a zinger that was. Now, fast forward to today, a whopping 28 to 45 mpg is a win-win for me.
