Showing 26.9 mpg currently with about 300 miles and 1 quarter tank of fuel left. Several local trips to Lowe’s along with 200 miles hauling our e-bikes at 60 to 70 mph. Last time I filled up for $2.57 per gallon but price has gone up quite a bit since then!
I used to do the math every time and it always came in 1 to 2 mpg less than shown. My overall average is currently at 28.6. Now I just enjoy driving this truck knowing that the mpg is way better than I got with my Dodge Ram!!
I tried going full EV with the MachE but sold it back to Ford mainly due to lack of confidence in the charging infrastructure for road trips. I do miss the instant torque that you get with EV’s but when the EB turbo kicks in it feels almost as quick!
When I had my Dodge Ram we carried a step for my 95 year old Father in Law.
Didn’t need that for him with the Maverick but the VA gave us a lift to help transport his scooter.
I use this exclusively to protect my Truck bed covers. It kept the Access Cover on my Dodge Ram looking like new for many years in the Texas/Florida sun!!
My 2004 Dodge Ram with the 5.7 Hemi engine had 16 plugs some of which were
very hard to reach. I remember feeling like I paid somebody to beat me up after doing that job!
Now at 3 1/2 years old and 17k miles my overall average is showing 28.6 mpg. I’ve only managed one 500+ miles per full tank of 87 octane fuel. That was 505 miles at 31 mpg and all highway driving at 60 to 70 mph. ( ideal conditions )
It’s been a busy weekend for the Mav. Hauled the E-bikes down to Myakka River State Park for a ride. ( two hundred miles round trip ) This morning I picked up another load of concrete blocks for my retaining wall Project.
My OLM is currently showing that I have 500 miles left but I have only put 2000 miles on since the last change. This is probably due to the time factor since I did my last oil change in April of 2025. I don’t like to go more than a year between oil changes no matter how few miles of actual usage.
I live in the hill country of Florida close to Bok Tower which is the highest point in the state. I’ll be going back to Lowes tomorrow for more concrete blocks!
For the first time in 3 1/2 years my infotainment system failed to start up when I started the Truck today. The screen was black and the radio was dead! All I did to get it back was shut down the Truck wait a few minutes and then start it up again. Now it’s back to normaL I guess we don’t live...
