I've had a check engine light on 3 occasions. 1st and 2nd time on a round trip from Ohio to DC and 3rd on a trip home from Pittsburgh to Ohio. All 3 indicated an engine fault of some kind and the first two briefly mentioned emissions. They all went away and no drivability issues took place...
XLT with 10,000 miles here and other than the cold remote start issues and a couple of check engine light anomalies, I've been very happy. Averaging 37-43 mpg depending on how many kids I'm carting around. Most impressive was a recent 120 mile trip averaging 80 miles per hour and still managed...
Family of five here. One in rear facing, one in booster and one in the middle. No problems for us. Survived a 6 hour drive both ways this summer. Has more/similar space to my 15 Colorado I traded in.
Ohio to DC and back is a lot of mountain/hill driving. I averaged between 70-80 mph through those portions. There were five of us in the truck (2 young kids and a baby) and some luggage in the bed, but not much for a 3 day trip. I spent a good bit of time looking for any loose connections as...
So I took the family to DC and back from Southeastern Ohio in the XLT Hybrid. Total trip (a little over 700 miles) going through both ways I averaged an impressive 35.5 mpg. However, 3/4 of the way there, I had a check engine like come on and stay on. Had to stop at an Advanced Auto Parts to...
My ac, especially when the fan is on high, is incredibly loud when the engine isn’t running. I assume it’s just as loud on a normal engine but it goes unnoticed with engine and fan noise. I too have an XLT Hybrid and have not been concerned at all.
I purchased from Germain Columbus and no issues at all. They didn't pressure me to trade in my truck, which I ended up doing anyway. I walked in with a written offer from CarMax down the street, and because of sales tax savings, they were able to "match" it. Overall a good experience and I can't...
Noticed mine just got an over the air update today. Haven't checked to see if there were any changelogs or notes that came with it. However, it did disable remote start until I physically get in the truck and turn it on for the first time. I don't know if this is infotainment related only or if...
I’ve done a complete fill up twice with about 40 miles to empty both times. First time I got the world’s slowest pump and ended up with 14.3 gallons. Today I had a normally functioning pump and put in about 13.4 gallons. So who really knows?
I love mine. It’s the second one I’ve had and yes the latching mechanisms are much improved. Mine came with tailgate weather strip as well. I’ve only had minimal water in the bed since install and that was after snow thaw and another after 2 inches of rainfall. Great product!
Would have loved FITS slots in other spots. My underseat isn't usable with a LATCH car seat and the center console slot can't accommodate anything with anyone sitting in the rear center seat. I like the cubby ideas I've seen so far. Cool concept, just hasn't been that useful for a family of five...
This is a little scary but, I have exactly the same Gator tonneau, exactly the same InstaCrate and did exactly the same thing with shop rags on my divider haha Love the hook ideas on the board and was trying to come up with something similar.
I'm also waiting to hear some results. I've only had this happen once, but once is enough for me to be a bit concerned. Ford actually called me to ask some questions a couple of weeks ago, but since I haven't had it occur again, I didn't respond. Please keep us updated.
It’s dark here at the moment but I may try tomorrow. Coverage under the pedal is great. Covers everywhere my foot would normally run and goes up under the gas pedal well.
Checked the owner’s manual and did a quick search for “cold start”. There is this little tidbit “The functional operation of some components and systems can be affected at temperatures below approximately -13°F (-25°C).” It was pretty cold when it happened to me but not quite this cold. Could...
